Thank you all for continuosly demonstrating why God's message is not for hillbillies.

And there's as fine a demonstration of ignorant, presumptive, irrational, prejudiced, pseudo-religious bigotry as has been demonstrated on these boards - not the finest to be sure, for that there might be such a thing, condition, or state of being would present an irresolvable oxymoronic conundrum - but as fine as any of the genre. One is given cause to wonder whether the irony presented thereby might be intentional, a clever self-parody designed to ridicule the proposition it purports at first glance to champion. The possibility exists that our topic's author ain't so dumb as the author's posts would have it appear - perhaps its just a matter of having us all on.

On the other hand, I reckon that dog's barkin' up tree whut ain't got no squirrel in it.

Some folk'll never eat a skunk
and then again some folk'll,
like Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel!

Second verse:

Most folk'll never lose a toe
but then again some folk'll,
like Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel!

Couple things the folk of the American Eastern Piedmont and environs are big on are Ol' Time Religion and powerful potables ... you ain't had your breath took away 'til you've had it knocked right outta you by a healthy swig of fresh-from-the-still sour mash 'shine ... there's a spiritual experience for ya. Them hill folks is pretty big on spirited music, too, which goes right well with 'shine ... and Tent Meetin's with baptizin's 'n' all, too, 'cept there ya don't let mamma know ya gotchyer flask with ya.
