Seems all was clarified before I noticed this thread ... being one of the only banana experts here on A2K
as the article points out , we'll likely be able to enjoy bananas for some time to come .
perhaps new methods for breeding/propagating bananas may have to be found , but count on bananas being around for a while .
btw we find those small , "expensive' south-american bananas much tastier than those big ones that one usually finds in supermarkets .
