When a car has been crushed for scrap in a crusher what happens next?
I know it ends up as a square cube but then what happens does it get melted down and used again or are there impurities in the metal? what happens to the tyres are they removed before its crushed? same with the plastic dashboard? what happens?
The tires usually go to a tire yard. They then sit in the sun until the owner has enough to make a nice fire.
sounds nice as long as you dont breathe the lovely fumes in
I had a neighbor that used to do things like nail TV sets to his roof as some kind of political/artisic statement.
He probably would have put the thing on his front lawn, to the mortification of the neighborhood.
His name was Drew and he finally moved to a new neighborhood.
so does anyone know what happens to the metal cube that used to be a car?
Don't know.
Why not call a junk yard and ask them?
They are placed in the bed of a henchman's car, which is then driven back to a billionaire captain of industry's ranch, where he will arrange to have his gold seperated from it. Then he'll get back to taking over the world.

Oh, Chai! I didn't recognize you without that red lantern....
I believe, that the crushed cars are shipped to steel mills (plastic and all) both here and abroad.
