Hooray!
Smiling with you, Asherman.
Natalie's condition continues to improve. She was moved today out of ICU, and ate solid foods for the first time since she crashed last Saturday. The down side is that she can't manage to feed herself yet. She's much more herself, and talked on the telephone with various members of the family around the world. Also today she started physical therapy exercises.
Our oldest son, who's been almost unbelievably good, leaves early in the morning for the Far East. He's on the Army's promotion list, but won't actually get the promotion until sometime next year. He and his family will be moving from Seoul to Camp Zama, Japan in June/July.
That's great news Asher :-D
Damn dude, go buy her a lottery ticket, quick!
Great progress is encouraging; thanks for sharing the good news.
You should paint her somethin happy.
More good news. Very happy for y'all.
Glad to hear the good news.
Hold your dominion.
Glad to hear the good news.
Great news - and hoping she continues to get better.

I lost my on-line access for 5 days, so I'm behind on the news. I talked to Shannonvia phone on Thursday about his mother and was encouraged. I drove to Ash's house Friday but they were not home---probably at the hospital.
I was so relieved when I retrieved four e-mails from Ash saying that Natalie was getting better.
So very sorry to learn the news of the death of Anon's wife, JayBea.

Latest from Asherman
Latest news from Asherman:
Natalie was moved from ICU today. She is much better and ate solid food for the first time this evening. Though she is moving better, she still has to be fed. Earlier she began to do physical therapy exercises to improve muscle control in her arms and feet. She will be on a strong course of anti-biotics for at least another 8 days. If her condition contines at the present rate she may be moved to the Ruth Hanna Building for rehabilitation in 3-5 days.
Shannon leaves tomorrow morning for Japan. We'll be up by 5 a.m., and will visit Natalie briefly at the hospital before going on to the airport. I'll go back to feed her breakfast, but then need to return home for most of the day. Tomorrow is a neighborhood garage sale, and there is special provision for disposing of unwanted chemials and bulk stuff that otherwise is hard to get rid of. I'll try to sell another painting or two to get some much needed cash, before returning to the hospital to feed Natalie her supper. Then home again, home again jiggity-jig. Some time in there I have to remember to eat and take my medications.
Oh well...........

Yes, lots of time at hosp. Over next few weeks. Our computer isd dead, don't know when I will be able to replace it. The computer is in my case a critical item, so hopefullyit won't be too log before I'm fully back on line.

Natalie's rate of improvement is slowing. Lots of pain in her left leg, and arm. Doctor says the problem is anembolism from her illness last Fall. She's admonished to keep up with the exercises to recvover her motor skills. She will be here taking strong antibiotics to assure that the Meningitis doesn't return. We're hoping to have her home in a few weeks, but first she has to get her motor skills back.
This afternoon our computer died. There was a 'POP!', and it was gone. No power. Thank goodness, I had just copied the most important file onto CD. This means that I am now totally dependent on this blackberry for communications. As a consequence, updates on how we're doing will be shorter. When you receive an update, pass it along to family and other interested parties.
Thanks for the update, bbb. Things are looking up!
Sorry about your computer, though ....
BBB, glad your computer is working now.
BBB's and Ash's computers have both gone kapoop? And I was worrying about flat roofs in Albuquerque. I hope Osso's and Diane's/Dys' puters stay intact. Otherwise I'll feel cut off from the center of the world.
Asherman's wife crittically ill
I'm not getting posts from A2K. I suppose it's because of the work that Craven is doing.
Anyway - sorry to hear about the pain, but still things sound hopeful, thank goodness.
Keep your head up, Asherman!
Glad to know that Natalie is better! Hope she'll be much more better by this week's end
