I did used to be free.

I'm still a member although I have never really used the list.

I did just check though but I think I can only search in my own city.

Wow... that is pretty restrictive. For good reason I suppose.

I would consider using it but all I need is a house cleaning service and 4.95 per month (plus a $10 sign up fee) or $45 a year seems pretty expensive just for finding a contractor. I'd have use it quite a bit in order to justify that expense.

That does sound expensive. I wouldn't pay it because I've never really used it. I signed up out of curiosity. Plus, I've been told that it is all kind of bogus. I had a thread about it a long time ago -- I'll see if I can find it.....

That does sound a bit sketchy. I tried craigslist as well and was surprised to find not a single listing for cleaning services. Oh well... let your fingers do the walking, right?
