I realise that djjd but the film is an incarnation of present day thinking and wasn't in the stages of being made in thatcher era Britain. The words of the film still have a present day value attached to them and as Thatcher is no longer a political force the main drive, i found, is towardss Bush and to a lesser extent Tony Blair.

I saw it at the weekend.

I just got the general impression Guy was getting revenge on the government and how they treat people, maybe I missed something else.
Personnally I dont think blowing up buildings has ever helped anything, it may be a symbol but what ever it represents still exists.

A very odd film, I dont really know what to make of it.It was kind of comedic when it was trying to be serious.I wasnt keen on seeing lovely Stephen Fry getting beaten up.
