Checking in, UCLA just lost to the better team, I didn't watch, but will check various blogs including Kareem's later. Still, I'm glad they got to the four.

So, now I'll go back and read this thread..

Ah, a tad of an antique thread, I like those. Even I recognize the name Steve Alford, but not why.

I don't care yet who wins this other game, but I might work up concern when I check it out.. probably like both teams. Meantime, my allegiance, flighty though it be, moves to Memphis..

Kansas. A good friend in high school really pushed that I'd go with her to what, St. Scholastica? a catholic college, anyway, that was her mother's alma mater. I was busy wanting to go to St. Louis U or Marquette. Eh, those were the days. At least where I ended up had a better team (delicate snort).

Going to college isn't natural goodliness. But given that I got to go there, being the right age before the Reagan years and state tuition, I get a kick out of my extremely local team.
