Nope, it is mostly the confusion created by the last minute decertification of the Diebold election machines and the switch back to paper.

Quote:
LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- People hoping to stay awake long enough Tuesday to see who won California's primary might have a long night....

County registrars throughout California are warning that because of what could be record-breaking voter turnout and a change back to paper ballots, Tuesday's results may take some time.

Meanwhile, millions of California absentee ballots and early voting ballots are still out. Officials say many of those voters are expected to drop the ballots off at their polling places Tuesday.

Because of concerns over reliability, California decertified many of the state's electronic voting machines. That means in places like San Bernardino County, east of Los Angeles, where more than 3,000 voting machines will be sitting in a warehouse, paper ballots are back.
Kari Verjil, a registrar with San Bernardino County, says paper ballots will require more time to tally the votes.

More than a third of the state's 58 counties will go from directly recorded electronic machines back to paper.

Los Angeles County never stopped using paper ballots, but poll workers still spent time this past weekend on a dry run, getting ready for the expected high volume of ballots.

More than 700,000 more Californians are registered to vote Tuesday than were four years ago; 240,000 signed up in December.

Here is an interesting article about how Obama made a big flip-flop on the issue of guns.
To be fair, it also shows a major flip-flop made by Romney about guns.

I find their flips interesting, because the 2nd amendment is very important to me.

As far as Hillary goes, I found this article.

http://www.thenation.com/blogs/campaignmatters?pid=239574

Quote:
CLINTON WON'T COMMIT TO RENEW CONSTITUTION...Illinois Senator Barack Obama has finally signed the American Freedom Pledge, joining his fellow Democratic presidential candidates in encouraging the restoration of basic Constitutional principles after the battering they have taken during the Bush-Cheney era.
All the Democrats, that is, except New York Senator Hillary Clinton.

snip

Quote:
The pledge is anything but radical. It simply asks candidates to affirm a statement that reads: "We are Americans, and in our America we do not torture, we do not imprison people without charge or legal remedy, we do not tap people's phones and emails without a court order, and above all we do not give any President unchecked power. I pledge to fight to protect and defend the Constitution from attack by any President."

I wonder why Hillary wont sign this pledge.
After all, she claims to be against everything the pledge is asking her to be against.

In your link there is this comment

HOWEVER, it should be pointed out that this appears to be yet another example of Obama not being able to get good help.

You guessed it -- his campaign says this questionnaire was filled out incorrectly by a staffer. (Read more on that HERE.)

We've been following Mr. Obama's "The Buck Stops Over There" blame-his-staff trend since last June and, more recently, in December.

Bang bang

I hadn't heard of any of these Obama "The Buck Stops Over There" comments before now.

Then I was wrong, and America's current system really is better. But the empirical evidence tells us that the actual outcome is different. It tells us that Germany, which has universal healthcare but not a single payer system, gets about as much bang for the buck as France and England, who have universal, single-payer healthcare systems.
Really? I thought I read somewhere that the German system was the third most expensive system on planet Earth.

Depends on the job. I far prefer hiring sales people (and all front of the house restaurant positions) with little or no experience. Why? Experienced people tend to be attached to doing it wrong.

Rolling Eyes It takes willful ignorance to believe Obama will unite the Right as quick, let alone more quickly then will Hillary Clinton. Read any poll.

Nothing nasty about pointing out that your ignorance is your own. Learning who Obama is couldn't be much easier and conversely; believing it difficult couldn't be much more foolish.

I just returned from voting/caususing, the polling location was expecting 15-20 persons her hour and had been getting 200-300 per hour, there were 4 lines just to get into the building. The couple next to me were saying that they were there to vote for McCain so i tried to explain that this was DEMOCRAT CAUCUS ONLY and they responded theat they didn't stand in line for 2 hours for nothing and were going to stay until they could vote for McCain. I told them "have a nice day." voted and left.
By the way, this polling place was an elementary school that had both english and spanish signs everywhere. This is america gawddamnit and those freakin' mexicans that live here (80% in my area) should at least learn the correct english (it was good enough for jesus) language.

Good about turnout!

anyway, the funny/sad part was the guy (at least as old as me) when on to tell me that he once was a democrat but "they" ran an Irish Catholic on the ticket (JFK); that Irish Catholic wanted to dig a tunnel straight from the White House to the Vatican so he has voted republican ever since.
btw Obama was the first name at the top of the ballot.

actually I don't know if the ballots were all the same or if they varied from one to another as to the order of names.

She's getting desperate. This just isn't the action of a front-runner.

Truth is that she can see herself losing every other day in Feb. due to the matchup states favoring Obama...

According to the Boston Globe Clinton's staff is saying that they are trying to setup 4 debates next month.

http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2008/02/clinton_camp_pl_1.html

(They also seem to be conceeding that Clinton won't be doing as well as previoulsy expected with the voting today...)

I think part of the debate thing might be how much money Hillary has as compared to Obama, too. I saw someplace earlier that while Obama trumpeted the 32 million in January, Hillary's campaign was quiet about that. Eventually a vague figure -- "at least 10 million" -- was released. It seems possible that she just doesn't have that much money left (in American election terms anyway). Debates are free publicity.

One more thing on that subject, I remember seeing that only 3% of Obama's donors have topped out their contributions, so there could easily be a lot more money rolling in yet. (I've been contributing $10 and $20 here and there for a while now... nowhere near the limit yet.)

Are you afraid she will "legitamize" Fox - thus making it appear as an objective media source comparable to (say) ABC or CNN???
