People make decisions based on emotions. Go to pbs.org, then to Nova. There is a little 5 minute squib called The Deciding Factor. What this Harvard professor said mirrors the work I did in 1969 for a political science seminar.
Of course, you will ignore the fact that someone with authority from HArvard, broadcast by Public Television is presenting this information.
Correct, and it has been said that liberals vote more on emotion than reason, and I agree with that assessment. Actually, pom, I think your posts indicate your opinions are based upon emotion, not fact. A good example of what I am talking about here is that liberal Democratic policy is emotion based because they meant well even though the program doesn't work, example the Great Society, it didn't work and in fact it brought about the exact oppositie of the intended effects, but they meant well. The same is true with Obama care, he means well, but never mind the fact it won't work and will bring even more negative and unintended consequences. Taken to the extreme, communism looks good on paper, but it always brings about great pain, suffering, and usually death through mass starvations. Free markets appear to be cold and heartless, but it is the best thing for human beings in the long run. There is a reason it is cruel to feed the bears in Yellowstone, they become dependent and they end up being unhealthy.

I worked as a tour guide at a museum devoted to 19th C and early 20th C history and I have read many histories and biographies. Just because you have emotional filters that block reality does not mean what you decide based on some wild emotion is real.
Finally, there have always been yellow journalists or journalism pretenders like Beck et al. You simply lack the sophistication to know what poseurs they are. We need real journalists to protect you from those hooligans. Too bad you are not grateful for the truth.
Beck does great work, he researches the material and broadcasts the truth. Some of the best work he did in the past year was all the communists and Marxists in Obama's administration. I would advise you to listen to Beck, the man is far better than the vast majority of the worthless mainstream press out there.
