Did Walt Disney hate his mother?

There seems a huge amount of urban legends surrounding anything Disney related. Wonder why?

I always though Walt Disney cartoons were crap compared to the Warner Brother's cartoons, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, etc.

I'll agree that Warner Bros. cartoons were different in style and subject matter but I'd hardy call Disney crap.
One doesn't have to be better or worse to validate the other.

I was referring to Disney's short cartoons, not the feature length animated films. Some of these are wonderful. But Mickey Mouse vs Bugs Bunny, or Donald Duck vs Daffy Duck? No contest!

"Three Caballeros" is still my favorite Disney comedy and the first time live action was combined with animation.

Well, Linkat, fantasy follows all successful folk, I guess.

I guess my favorite was Fantasia because, if I remember correctly, this was my first introduction to classical composers:

Pieces in Fantasia include:

-Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach
-The Nutcracker Suite by Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky
-The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas
-The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky
-The Pastoral Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven
-Dance of the Hours by Amilcare Ponchielli
-Night on Bald Mountain by Modeste Moussorgsky
-Ave Maria by Franz Shubert

I also heard that the first full movie length Snow White was actually geared for adults. Not sure on that though.

Well, let's think about that for a minute...a single girl...living alone with 7 men?

I remember Warner Brothers with some classics too. Who could forget Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd in The Barber of Seville or Marriage of Figero (sp?).

Not sure if you have young kids or not, but there is a new cartoon out there now - Little Einsteins - it features classical music and art. My daughters love it - great introduction for your little Einsteins.

Well not sure about Walt, but Bugs was definately gay. Always dressing like women and trying as hard as possible to marry Elmer.

Bella - that reminds me of a great line from Shrek -
"....although she lives with 7 men, she isn't easy..."

I think I remember Bugs and Elmer doing Wagner's Ring Cycle, too.
