I had purchased about 7 yahoo games that I downloaded onto my old computer and I want to download them on my new puter, but I'm afraid of downloading anything because I'm afraid of viruses.
I have McAfee and I was wondering if it would prevent my puter from getting any viruses.
I know, stupid question!

ZoneAlarm! It's a firewall, and anti-virus! Go to www.zonelabs.com and download the entire Trial SecuritySuite. Then PM me and I will give you one of my open SS numbers that I own. I bought a package of a hundred and I will give you one that will activate it.

I already have full security with firewall and anti-virus and I think if I have too much security stuff going on on my puter, it'll confuse the hell outta me, lol.

But thanks a bunch, Anon :-D

I just checked my firewall + anti virus. Everything is on and working, so this should protect me from any viruses, right?

If you've updated your virus patterns, yes!

It's set up so that it automatically scans for updates.
I'm just so stupid when it comes to this stuff <sigh>

When you look at your anti-virus stats, it should tell you when your virus patterns have been updated.

Laughing

after the download is finished, select save instead of run, and put it on your desktop.
Then, DONT open it. get out of the setup/download.

then you can scan the entire file before you play.
Saves a ton of heartache. Very Happy
