At the end of a film or documentary on that odd occasion when you're trying to read the scrolling credits to see who played what, they split the screen to advertise 'next' and the credits are reduced to unreadable.
Really annoying.
Call and write the station. Advise them of the reason they call them credits.
Write the producers of the program, ask them if they are contractually obligated to allow the practice you describe. It's their product, the station appears to be using it to advertise others.

It is really annoying when the tv stations do that.
So often with movies, one is looking to see who supporting actors were etc., and there are so many movies with great theme music that plays while the credits are rolling and that just cuts out until the ads finish.
I've noticed that one station has also begun to scroll ads across the lower half of the screen while movies, etc are still playing.
I agree completely it is feckin annoying
