I have a situation on one of my fishing webboards where I am having a disagreement with someone. That person has begun using my real name when he posts to me in public messages.

There is nothing in the site's TOS addressing this so I was wondering if there was any higher controlling rule against such action. No threats have been been made, it's just a sarcastic thing right now.

I live in PA, He lives in NJ, board is hosted in NJ.

Thanks

Nope. There is nothing in any written law that requires someone to address you by your screen name and/or not use your real name. If a site chooses to add such a clause in their terms of service that is entirely the site operators option.

If you are asking if you have any legal recourse the answer is no.
