The scene in "Philadelphia" where Hanks is listening to and explaining the aria is just incredible.

Yes, what about "Splash" ???

Splash was the first film with Tom Hanks that I remeber seeing, but I loved Cast Away most, not just for Hanks, but for the whole message.

I bought Philidelphia just for that aria bit, its so moving, shows what a great actor he can be.
The whole film is fab and I LOVE that song played at the end when they show the footage of him as a child.

It's a truly heart-wrenching movie and I find it difficult to watch it again.

I voted for that all-time standby, "Forrest Gump" because, as corny as it may have become upon repeated viewings, it is still his most overall satisfying movie. I also greatly enjoyed his performances in "Philadelphia", "The Green Mile" and "Saving Private Ryan".

Saving Private Ryan makes me cry in the beginning, Philidelphia makes me cry in the middle, and The Green Mile makes me cry at the end.
Maybe i should splice the 3 together and cry non stop for a couple of hours!!

I Loved Forest Gump for the reason it feels sad and sorry for Tom throughout the flik and but surprisingly inspiring, so much, in the end. Smile

I loved "Cast Away". Truly a Great performance by the actor. Cool

"The Terminal" looks like more of Spielberg's than Tom Hank's... But a nice film indeed. Smile

Saving Private Ryan was a Grand scale film. A Memorable War film ever.

This man is truly one of the super greatest actors of hollywood...

I'm anticipating he can bring it off in "The Da Vinci Code" dispite some naysayers who state he isn't right for the part of Robert Langdon.

I preferred his first film, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where he played one of the Oompah Loompahs.

Cant wait for the Da Vinci Code, I think it may gibe hanks a kind of edge to him, being in a supposedly controversial film.
He's ususally seen a such a nicey nice guy.
