ACADEMIC PAPERS: Endnotes

I am working on a long academic paper. I am working in WORD. In order to re-arrange my endnotes I had to go back to the very beginning of the paper because the problem seemed to be with the very first endnote - Note #1. For some reason it now appears as endnote No. 2 - and no matter how hard I try, I can not get it to go back to No. 1. It is in the first paragraph of the paper, and I did not put any endnotes after any of the previous sentences.

Hi Woolly

Try this:

Right click on an Endnote number (in the endnotes themselves)
Select 'Note Options'
Make sure 'Start At' is set to '1'

Glad you got rid of Wordperfect.
