THE PERPETUAL PHOTOSHOP THREAD

Reply Mon 13 Feb, 2006 03:48 pm
Okay folks, this thread is here for anyone and everyone who has any interest in photoshop, or any other similar programs, basically the digital art thread I suppose.

It's a place to showcase waht you've made, ask questions, give advice, anything. I'll start it with some simple text art, hopefully it catches on and we can get some people showcasing some cool stuff.

Hey CarbonSystem

The other night I spent about six hours on photoshop checking out the painting brushes.
I don't really know what I'm gona do in photoshop - but I like not having a mess to clear up afterwards!

ENDY- I've got to agree with you on that one, the clean up is non existent, and the set up time is very fast as well.

Yeah, but I've discovered something else, C
- you can still end up with a horrible mess!

I think i need to work at this.

My best piece of advice is to utilize the help menu, it's a better guide than most people think, and it helps a lot.

Thanks. i'm gona try printing out something landscapish and painting on top of it - mabe adding collage - then filming it and puting it back into photoshop and round and round until I come up with something.

I call this my shake and bake tactic.

That would turn out pretty cool. The biggest problem people face is that they use too many filters and it takes away from the ovrall picture.

It rather depends on what final product you wish to arrive at. If you want the photo to remain largely intact, then minimal filtering should be used. If, however, your intention is something else then the ends justify the means. imo.

Yeah that's true, but sometimes the end doesn't look all that good because there's too much going on, and it just takes away from the overall point of the picture. Of course it depends on the picture and subject matter also.
