BBB and I are of one mind when it comes to poop. Dogs like to poop where it smells like poop, especially their own. You can even train her to go to one spot in the yard this way, sort of like a litter box without the box.

She pooped on a blanket last night. We immediatly threw it in the washer. It's clean. The question is, now should that blanket never go back in her crate?

I doubt using the now clean blanket will be a problem. Just take her out a lot, especially after she eats. Play with her a little outside to get her excited, that oftens triggers the bowels. Start chanting "do it" as she does it and praise her as she finishes, she'll get the idea and in few weeks she'll be reliable.

Aw, too cute, Bella.

You're lucky she slept so well last night. Is she much of a barker?

What a beauty!

I can't recommend Dogs for Dummies enough. I learned so much that I should have known/thought I knew ...

"Hurry up" is the phrase I use for Bailey when we're at the stage in the walk where he has to go, or he's going back inside without having pooped.

Bella Athena.

Very Happy

Cute dog. Now let's think of some names.

Some suggestions:

Hitler
Mohammed
Jihad
Shanaynay
Dikembe
Frankie
Eileen. If you name it this, you must cripple one of her legs so she walks with a permanent limp. Get it...Eileen?

Awwwwwwwwwww and ooooooooooooh, what a sweetheart! She sure does look like an Emma. or Nina. or Lili. Something short and dignified. Emma sounds great though.

Sorry, no advice from me. Just incomprehensible cooing sounds.

I would like to just squeeze her little head.

Oops, just the voices in my head again. She is a little cutie.

Just when we leave her. I don't know how long she barked after I left this morning or after lunch cuz I wasn't there.

Oh another question...It's been so long since I had a puppy, i can't remember if this is normal....

She won't leave me alone. She won't even eat if I am not standing or sitting right there. I don't mind her following me around the house and stuff but she's gotta eat and I can't stand there every time!

Is this normal for the first few days or a prelude to seperation anxiety?

they are certainly bigger dogs, but not huge. their back come slightly above your (well, my) knee. girls are a little smaller and leaner. they are beauties. and very very sweet. apparently it takes a few years for them to mellow down, but those rumbuctious years should be well worth it.

We estimated she would be close to 65-70lbs. Her parents are HUGE dogs.

They are very rambunctious dogs. Big clowns. Their facial expressions are priceless. All she wants to do is sit in my lap. I was eating lunch and she had her lunch and I put her down and she ate for a minute and then came over to sit in front of me, with her head turned up looking at me like "Pick me up". She is such a sweetie.

I will definitely be posting more pics of her.

She looks like a Marge to me. Maybe a Margo.

You need a strong name for a boxer, I think.

I love the little white markings on her mouth, under her nose....they make her look like she has buck teeth.
