I just had dinner with my sister's family and the families of my three paternal cousins, plus various older adults. There were 23 of us, 11 were kids under 18 (6 of the kids are under 8 years old). There's the 6 month old puppy, my crippled old dog and 2 other dogs. It was utter chaos.

I thought - I want to be a what?!?! Why?!?!?

Tomorrow, my other sis and her husband (and brother-in-law) are coming with their dog, who is a 100 lb malamute. Sigh.

Is that a problem, that the due date has gone?

I take it you haven't finished it?

Wrong how?

Might we be able to help?

THe teacher assigned the date 7/2 because it was a month after the second weekend class started. Even as she assigned it, she said that the due date was flexible. Because I had just moved, I was out dsl for 2 weeks and then my laptop was gone for 2 weeks for a total of 3 weeks of imperfect working environment - so I emailed her to tell her that I would have a hard time completing the paper on time. She said "don't worry about it". Now, that can be translated in different ways, but I am going for the "hand in paper within a week after due date" translation.

I both need firm deadlines and a good work environment......

And as far as doing the paper wrong - I can fix that. Her directions were not precise and I'll extra work to make sure I am doing what she wants.

#1. Sounds like she understands your situation and dont worry about the deadline but, yeah - get it in asap.

#2. FIxable is good!

<in leotards, doing a frantic interpretive dance about hurrying with a paper>

<awkward duck-like leaps,...in our circles, in our circles,... running in place with tiny steps, and exaggerated little air-punching motions>

I don't do this for just anybody.

Oh my lord! How am I supposed to concentrate when all I can see in my mind is Lash doing ducky circles and little punchy steps?

Thanks all..... I fear I am done for tonight.

Nail down the date you're handing it in - it'll give you a deadline to work against.
