This is not a particually serious problem but I've been asked to research it for homework so I thought Id give it a go!

I have been asked to find out why Washing Machines have windows in the doors but Dishwashers don't!? Very bizarre I know but I'm just doing my homework!!

Any theorys, serious or not, would be greatly appreciated along with any ideas for places I can ask!

Thanks Guys Very Happy

Dishwasher, washing machine, clothes drier. None have windows. If they did, I suspect that they'd crash much more often.

I've seen washing machines with windows, years ago and very recently, as in this week. The most expensive ones now have windows..

The front loading washing machines, popular in the 1940's and making a comeback, have windows. The top loaders don't.

The drums of front loaders turn, the top loaders agitate. It IS fun to watch the clothes turning around!

All of our washing mashines in the UK have a window.

...and some dishwashers have a spin cycle.

<the spin cycle bit was a joke....hahahahaha>

Okay, here it is (my best guess). Because it can be fun to watch the clothes spin. But, there is nothing attractive about the dirty dishes sitting in the DW before they are washed. Rare to toss clothes in the WM and then run it when it's full, but typical to toss dishes in the DW over the course of a day or two and then run it. Who wants to look at that?
