Hello! Shocked
I'm Josh and I am 12 years old... middle school!
This coming Month (Feb.) I am AUDITIONING for a musical,
Guys and Dolls jr. I really need help! I am good at singing but I'm having a hard time with choosing the song I should sing (We are suppose to choose the songs we use for auditioning) and were supposed to add gestures as we sing so if someone could give me
advice it would be great!

THANX *

jklangager- Welcome to A2K! Very Happy

Well! I think that since you are doing a musical, you need to choose a song from another musical comedy, one that will show off your acting as well as singing ability. The first thing that comes to mind is, "There is Nothing Like a Dame" from South Pacific. You can use all sorts of hand and facial gestures to get your song across.

"Oh What a Beautiful Morning"- from Oklahoma

"I've Grown Accustomed to her Face"- My Fair Lady

Check out this link. It lists all the great musical comedies, and lists the songs that are in them.

Pick a song that is not too hard to sing, but will give you an opportunity to "strut your stuff". Good luck!
