I need to know if there is a diargram for the rainsoft system setup. I want to have it removed from my old house so i can sell it. Rainsoft is giving me a run around because its not getting reinstalled into another residence and I really cant afford a plummer, is it really going to be too hard for a non plummer person to remove? Very Happy

this is the opposite side of the wall to the unit<p>

and this is prolly not as important but the pipes to the unit itself

i remember when the unit was installed they drilled holes in the garage wall but I honestly dont remember them digging or having to re route pipe. Im thinking this might be too much for a mere human to take on hehe

You have the FLECK based RainSoft valve.

By-pass the system, put it in backwash to release pressure.
unscrew the two side clamps on the valve and separate the unit from the by-pass.
Leave the brass connector and the by-pass valve assembly with a warning/ID note.
Remove your complete drain line and unplug the unit.
Unscrew the brine line from the valve.
You are ready to move.
Keep the unit upright at all times.

You can purchase a new upgraded FLECK by-pass assembly and connector for re-installation.

NO - DO NOT TOUCH THE SIDE CLAMPS YOU ARE POINTING TO!

You will get really wet

http://www.geocities.com/tdmkitty/DSCN5672a.jpg

You want the two that are barely visible @ the bottom of the image.

Turn the 2 round discs with handles outlined in silver clockwise to bypass the system. You will see arrows moulded into the plastic.
This entire assembly, the side clamps you are pointing to and the brass coupler remain attached to you plumbing and stay with the house.

These items can be purchased new for re-installation.

HTH ~
