@ehBeth,
wearing: cocoa/thin black stripe crisscross weave stretchy jeans; stretch coral tee, pendleton flowery short sleeved womans shirt, getting too large. Black socks with small flowers. Nice and comfortable I-don't-know-what-you-call-ems, by White Mountain. Sort of a hefty sandal with no heel and good support base.
hearing: (ehBeth) a radio documentary about a woman who was mauled by a grizzly bear
- read about similar situation a long time ago, memorable. It was her period.. (have no idea if that is relevant)
I'm hearing yippy barking from next door. I happen to like hearing dogs most of the time.
smelling: n/a
eating: probably going to have one of those amazingly good (not my recipe) chicken legs soon, with some artichoke hearts.
drinking: rum and chocolate milk in celebration
doing: thinking of vaccuuming and packing up my hall rugs
looking forward to: seeing Bob and Diane and Roger tomorrow.
feeling: relieved. I still have something weird with my hands, but today carpal tunnel was largely ruled out. It could be many things, said the doc (not tech - I've seen three docs on this so far) who did the testing (nerve conduction - shock, shock, shock, and so on). What is going on is not painful unless I move my hands wrong, and then it shows up funny - including with the bone areas between joints but not the joints, on my index finger; in a kind of sunken muscle area on my right hand; sometimes acts wiggly, as in the pain flips places. Not that painful over all to complain about, but worrysome for a woman who has drawn and painted and gardened for much of her life. Really only worrysome if it gets worse. The immediate relief is - no surgery. The doc doing the testing said it could be tendon or ligament related. Arthritis, possible. And there is a little arthritis there. Having talked with something like several hundred arthritis patients, I'm not convinced on that one.
