the first person I'd ever seen wear them was Swimpy. I went out and bought a coupla pairs right away. Now I'm addicted.

eating: red beans and rice, shrimp creole, corn bread.
drinking: Leinenkugel's red. selection at the corner kwik-e-mart is a bit limited.
doing: watching some tubage before taking the dogs to the park before cleaning up around the place before reading up on some ophthalmology.
looking forward to: The End of This Semester. Oh God, let it end.
feeling: progressively better.
wanting: nap time.

OH! I'm flattered, but ya know it's getting to be winter and backless shoes are dreadful in the snow. May I present the winter Swimpy shoe?

ya know, I have a couple of pairs that are startlingly like the winter Swimpy shoe. I think they've got an official name now for when people say "what do you call those?".

looking forward to: getting my Festiva hair colour done in a couple of hours. It's always fun doing something radical.

wearing: Nearly every shirt I own, a big green fleece jacket, jeans, tennis shoes. (It is cold in the SLC. They've turned off the power to conserve energy since me and only three other chuckleheads are in this behemoth over the holidays.)
hearing: hums, janitors dragging carts, throat clearing on aisle 54...
eating: (thinking fondly of daughter's birthday dinner tonight...mentally eating seafood at Harry Bissett's....)
drinking: nada.
doing: checking accounts online, emails, pre-buying a couple of textbooks a la amazon.
looking forward to: My children gathering in January for a belated gift-giving experience. <smiles>
feeling: a little decrepit
wanting: energy, a dog, ... Yeah.

hearing: blessed silence for a change. The young'uns have been making an ungodly (but wonderful) noise with guitars and drums for the last three days
eating: nada. Supper will be ready in about an hour or so.
drinking: nada. Beer will be cold in about an hour or so.
doing: resting. Jst got the house clean.
looking forward to: Some of the youg'uns friedns dropping by.
feeling: pissed off at A2k. When is that new site coming? This one's about shot.
wanting: Christmas to get here.

drinking: ... but I'm thirsty
doing: Going through hanna andersson site with sozlet 'cause they're having a sale and my mom wants to buy her some stuff and she (sozlet) has gotten picky, email, checking to-do list, A2K.
looking forward to: Picking stuff up at the pottery place tomorrow (sozlet gifts to grandparents + E.G.) and seeing how it turned out.
feeling: Fairly neutral. Happy that Christmas is on pace and I don't have to do the usual breakneck wrap-up, a little tired, a little anticipatory.
wanting: To not have to worry about money (don't we all...)

wearing: blue denim pants (I won't call them jeans, they're not quite jean style), medium blue sweatshirt, fluffy slippers that are getting less fluffy, sweet little earrings with sort of an aqua rhinestone flower, a thin little faux gold chain, and a pear shaped blue pearl on each.. an old thrift store find.. plus an artist designed ring from The Moro Gallery.

hearing: barking

eating: waiting for the cocoa walnut bread with cranberries and raisins to finish baking..

drinking: cup of coffee

doing: waiting for both the bread and m'contractor to call.

looking forward to: reading last week's New Yorker

wearing: gym clothes...a long silver chain with a fat, ornate silver heart dangling between my bosoms...lol...really old decrepit tennis shoes...hair in chignon...my daughter's ruby dangly earrings, which I forgot to return...

eating: living on love, forgot about eating...lol
drinking: nuttin
doing: sending out emails to family and friends--warning of incommunicado situation, since I spent all my money LOL. Phone will croak at midnight.
looking forward to: Seeing my man, printing of the Stillpoint, feedback from shopping around my recent poem, ******* MAY (next financial aid installment), tomorrow, the future (see Kicky, how stupid it can get...? lol )
feeling: <climbs around the ship's bow railing on the Titanic,...> Very Happy
wanting: a little cash would be nice... but, who needs it?
