well, majoring in Liberal Studies at my local JC, but I'm about to graduate and transfer to a four-year. Once I transfer I'll be majoring in art (YAY!), but first must deal with the headaches of registering at the new school...arrrgh....

What is going on in your school career at the moment?

This is the very crap that's sucking the life out of me right now. I am applied at three schools, accepted by two and waiting on the ASSHOLES at the other school, before I can look at everything and decide what to do.

Academically, good things are happening. I want to double major in English and either PoliSci or History, so I can teach both. I'm going to try to teach high or middle, while I try to get a gig at a college and work on my six year or PhD if I can. Next week is finals, and then I have a rough summer semester, and then I should be at a university.

What schools are you considering??

What do you want to do art-wise?? (Love the idea of art major.)

What do you love? Whose work do you adore?

oooh, pool! I'm jealous!! Is it indoors, or is it warm enough to swim where you are?

I just saw your post re: school stuff...yeesh. You're more overloaded than I am by far, I shouldn't even complain. A double major--EEEK!!! Shocked You're a brave soul...

I'm going to Humboldt, 'tis a state school and not too far distant from home, has a good art program, is affordable. Apparently has one of the most extensive metal-working programs in the state!! I shall make works in metal, yay!!

Let's see, lemme answer all them questions o' yours. I want to be an illustrator for children's books, but that'll prolly just be a sideline while I also do something mundane like teach elementary school to make a living...We'll see...

Whose work do I adore? Lots of illustrators, since that's the field I love...William Steig, Edward Gorey, Trina Schart Hyman, Mercer Mayer-- those are some of the big inspirations, people whose work was a huge influence on me as a kid. I'd love to do a book or two that some little kid somewhere remembers even after they grow up, the way I remember the work of those artists.

He's a tramp,
he's a rounder.
Breaks a new heart, every day.
He's a tramp!
But I love him.
Even I have got it pretty bad.

I must have watched that with my children 100 times.

It's the icon of the 90s for me. Laughing

<Loved that song. Peggy Lee was one of a kind>
