How about an option for no tree because, bah humbug!
Not to mention that money spent on Christmas decorations is money that cannot be spent on the poor. . .
or on beer.

My only problem with the trees is that, to me, cutting down a living thing, even if it is farmed for that purpose, and then disposed of in an ecologically beneficial way, is that it is killing a living thing.
I just can't help it. But I also don't kill bugs, I relocate them to the outdoors if they are infringing. It just makes me feel bad and wrong--but I also do not judge others by my own preferences. These are just my ways and what I have to do.
So if you like trees, by all means, have one and enjoy it.
If not, don't.
