That issue did not arise. If there were a
LONG passage,
then its author 'd be likely to be identified.
I had too many quick quips (of unknown authorship)
that memorably got the point across
and one upon which I embellished, at some length.
I was not comfortable with associating my own name therewith.
Plagiarism cannot exist
if no one takes the credit for the text in question.
Definitionally, plagiarism is
stolen credit
for someone else 's text. It is
IMPOSSIBLE to falsely aggrandize myself, if no one knows who I am.
