C.I., I know a couple of words in Japanese. Trouble is, I don't know how to spell 'em. One is "forgive me"..the other "bathroom". Laughing

Craven has changed his debating technique. So it was written; so it was done.

And, over the course of my tenures here, I have seen newbies come in rather harshly and soften with time. (Me was one.)

A2K is dramatically different to me than the other boards on the net. The political discussions are far more nasty elsewhere, because ALL THAT IS DISCUSSED IS POLITICS.

Here, the word 'community' is more descriptive than the other one-note boards. It is hard to get really angry on political pages, when you are enjoying digressions/Pet/Garden/Relationship/Poetry... a page over.

I have noticed my political opinions are starting to take a back seat to peace. Shocked

I really hate to see fellow members getting really angry at one another, and I have become a simpy hippy. Shocked

I'd love to hear other's view about the mood evoked by this community, and if they have changed their debating technique or fallen on their ideological sword for the sake of harmony.

Sometimes, I miss heated exchanges.

Could we have a flame board, where everyone swears not to take offense? Razz

Would really like to hear lots of opinions.

Aren't folks really fighting over in politics any more?

They seem to be when I read 'em.

I am too tired to throw myself anywhere...I might topple, slowly...

Well, well, well;

and you are all quite right in all your scathing comments relative to your shortcomings in the field of effective debate.

about time it came out! (with scant thanks to Craven, the absent "landlord")

I, however, will continue to perform in exactly the manner I always have done....

"Perfectly"

You've got to be quicker with your "trigger" finger Beth; (knew I could turn this into a criticism!)

Uhoh, C.I. That which we have feared the most has come upon us. The canajuns are conclaving. Close the borders and don't spare the doorknobs.

Jethro Tull knew it:

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day

and Bungle in the Jungle with the lions and tigers and bears...My, my, my.
