I'm not a great artist, but i love to sketch and would love to get into watercolors. mostly nature, skies, water, trees, maybe houses.
however, im not sure where to start. should i get one of those instruction books or just try to figure things out myself? any other advice?

sorry this is late - but read books, look at work in exhibitions and most of all join a class. You could also search on line for art forums - there are a few out there and you could discuss with fellow learners
