Fairy Nectar

Motionless, alone sits
Lesidhe on his favorite leaf
While his family
Dance and frolic
Lighting up the sky
With their fairy glee

I do not know
What haunts me
He whispers
To the night
There sits a
Lovely maiden
Who I want
By my side

Full moon reflects
The evening glow
His silhouette is sad
He won't feed on
Fairy nectar, and
Death approaches fast

Queen Aeval calls
All her subjects
She raises the alarm
One of our own
Is dying, and
Something must be done

He is in love
With a mortal
In chorus answer all
She wore a clover
Both sets of eyes
Did meet by the oak

Prepare his flower carriage
Sing peace into his breast
Faery heart cannot
Stand mortal love
We must lay him
To his rest

From the thread Spontaneous Poems:

Wings

As I sing of flame-burnished wings
Wings that are no more
That were exchanged
For one night of human love

As I sing
Of the high price paid
For the short moments
That we both lived

The flames of my tears
Burn my newly acquired form
Sending a torrent of emotion
Through my whole being

I dare not look back
To the place to you
Fire in your eyes
That would enslave me

As I sing
Trying to understand and
Control these feelings
That take over my soul as well

There is no escape now
And here I will live
Solitude will be my companion
Since I'm just a dream to you

Something you cannot really love
Because I'm not real
My sacrifice has been in vain
So I sing of flame-burnished wings

The universe inside

Rejoice, and embrace the universe inside
Fear not, that thin dark veil as you enter
For it is just a curtain leading to radiant light

Rejoice, and embrace the universe inside
For inside you will find great treasures
And untold knowledge, come discover

Rejoice, and embrace the universe inside
Travel in freedom like the world has never known
Meet beings of your past, present, and future

Rejoice, and embrace the universe inside
Come count the stars in the all the universes
Follow the comets path that leads to god

Live again

You crazy bro

Live again
You crazy bro
Who wants to
Live again

Nah bro
Thats not for me
Come back again
You crazy bro

Come back to
Pain and death
You crazy bro
Not me not me again

To a different
And new world maybe
But to the same old thing
You crazy bro not me

When death is no more
And pain not even a word
Then maybe bro
Maybe I will live again

You live again
You crazy bro
Not me not me again
I'm going to stay dead

Fight, rage against the dying of the light.

Fight, rage against the dying of the light.
Light that lives inside each man, don't let it die.
Killed by those that would control your life.
Fight with all your might, destroy the gods of
Stone that cannot comfort or help you. Burn down
Governments that would tie your hands, cover your
ears, and your eyes to the truth. Fight with rage.
Before you are nothing but a puppet.

The Portal of Days

It's Sunday, it's raining, it's fun
Relaxing with nothing to worry me
Sitting by an electronic portal
That my able hands control

Connected to thousands
Who are connected to me
Strangers to each other
We speak in symbols

It's Sunday here but
It might not be Sunday
There where they live
Across the sea

It's raining here but
The sun shines on others
The sky lights my path
While dark night shadows some

I'm having fun this Sunday
Reaching out across the airways
Playing with symbols that
Bring knowledge of each other

The Door

When you go out the door
Heed those that are calling
Enter the white light without fear
Never looking back

Yesterday is no more
Over with the pain
Understand the change

Go meet those that wait, your
Obligations are passed

Observe a life past
Unwilling wrongs made right
To be at peace with all

The universe forgives, you
Heal to begin anew
Eternity is yours

Delight in this thought
Offend nothing living
Or those that guide your spirit
Remembering to love

The Banquet of Life

To the banquet hall of Life
Only a few are invited

Each guest seated according
To their importance in society

At the head of the table sit the affluent
Cream of society whose god is gold

At the other head of the table
The leaders of people and nations

On the left side of the table sit the
Citizens that live off the misery of man

On the right side to the table sit the
Ones that sell themselves for gold

They all gorge themselves
For the banquet is free for them

And as they eat the crumbs that fall
Are eaten by the miserable ones of the world

Blanket of Warmth

Begin to weave a blanket of warmth
With words that will reach my heart
And will stop the hurt that time left
At least for a fraction of an hour
From this world's eternal time clock
Before it repeats it's chiming again

Begin to weave a blanket of warmth
To temporary numb the pain of life
Before the throbbing agony begins anew
Press it tightly around the wound
To prevent my life's blood from spilling
Before my spirit abandons me to freedom

Composition of a soul

A face, composed in phantom time.
Chiseled carefully lifetime after lifetime
Not knowing if it will ever be finished.

The artist works with ethereal materials
Sure of the quality of its immortality.
Covering it, with three dimensional matter.

She works blindly, guided by phantoms
Guardians of past, present, and future.
Always present watching, inspiring.

Why does the artist work so hard?
Who is the essence she is refining?
The face of the life force, is her own

God

Determined to see God
Upon entering the portal of sleep
With outstretched wings
I set my mark

High I flew above the wet clouds
Away from the green and blue of earth
Into a myriad of sparkling stars
Past planets~galaxies and uncharted space

Higher still I flew into the black void
Where no stars or galaxies exist
Then I saw God~Gasp
An immense globe~brilliant~pulsating~a living thing

The light that emitted from this sphere
Was of such magnitude that it
Illuminated all the deep dark void
Closer still I flew

This pulsating mass of energy
Constantly multiplied itself
Into smaller sparks~continually
Releasing them in all directions into space

These tiny living things
Like a million fire flies in the night
Traveled very far~searching for a home
They settled in all the galaxies

In time~each grew and prospered
According to each environment
All having the spark of God
Beginning of all life in the universe

Galatea's Wish

Flawless ivory in tranquil sleep
Encircling human hands awaken me
Carried off by unknown, intent to keep

Slowly, gently, hands examine
Sending sensations never felt before
Echo of name, Pygmalion, is he

Beginning of face, as if a decree
Image of a dream made real
Filling me with hope of life

Chiseled limbs that make me feel
Caresses giving birth to desires
Wish to be woman, new soul's appeal

What is that feeling I would acquire
That he transmit as he carefully adorns
Me with cloths of Tyrian dye, pearls, and Sapphires

A new being now born
Who longs to return his devotion
Unable my heart mourns

Oh goddess Aphrodite give me motion
That I may live with this mortal Pygmalion

A Cubist Poem
The City

Rectangles that touch the sky
Geometric parents, and children side by side
Asphalt reef, with a myriad of eyes
In constant competition with the stars
Millions of creatures in there dwell
Horizontal walk-ways
That lead to sharp dark corners
Crossing rivers, and bridges
To other parts
All painted black
Except for the many luminaries
Most sleep
Flits of colored lights
The only movements
As half covered Diana
Peeks down from the sky

Yellow glim of Ra
Rises behind the horizon
Chasing all the night eyes away
Reigning supreme
Giving light to the inhabitants
Reflecting its glare
To glass oculars
Clarifying forms
In the busy pace of beginning
Watching box like chariots speed off
Carrying its living passengers
Heralding a new day
Illuminating dark corners
Exposing a rainbow colored world
In varying tints and tones
Hues that brighten the city

With the hour glass
Last drops of sand
A curtain in tones of gray
Slowly covers all
Ending one cycle
Later to begin anew
Ancient, and new world
Continuing series of life

Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's painting
"Pavement Cafe at Night"

Pavement Cafe at Night

Canvas sky of Cobalt Blue
As luminaries shine their light
Giving all, surrealist hues

Buildings in shadows, Cadmium Orange
Eyes that stare at passers by
Forms walking, just a mere tinge

Cobblestone street that leads
To a nightly meeting place
Where body and spirit are nourished

Rendezvous of artists and poets
Seeking companionship and inspiration
Smiles and looks that follow gambit

Natural and artificial light
Paint the scene, a strange mixture
Of shades, making all bright

The outdoor cafe, with it's round tables
Vibrates with sounds, as strollers
Eyes, meet eyes, smiles that enable
Brief encounters, under the gable
