Okay, so I love the Daily Show. I know that nails me down as a Liberal right off the bat. But there you have it. I think it is incredibly funny, and sometimes even informative. I dont watch it often because its on late. Daily Show lovers? Any opponents? Please, if you don't like the show just because it is liberal, then I'll respond right away: There are plenty of partisan television shows and news programs out there, and this is just one of them. But if you don't like it for other reasons, feel free to express those.

It might be the only show on television that tells the truth.

It is also very funny.

I agree. Im not such a fan of the new Colbert Report that just came out this year. I thought Steve Colbert was better when he just did a segment on the Daily Show.

It's great, I have a bunch of epsiodes to catch up on on my parents tivo when I get home for Thanksgiving!

It's also a huge hit for advertisers b/c it's one of the few shows that young men watch. I read an article about how hard it was to pin down that demographic, and they are mostly watching shows from 11-1am and it's shows like the Daily Show.

Hi I love it especially happy Jon Stewart has a permanent gig that he has tailored to fit him. His previous talk shows on MTV and syndicated via UPN were sort of so quick--if you blinked you missed them. The Daily Show pre Stewart had it's moments but now love or hate it is is plowing into pop culture history. The Colbert Report is slowly growing on me, don't watch it regularly, but caught it the other night and Ric O'Casek from the 80's new wave/rock group The Cars was on, which was so bizarre to me. And they did those whole "Putting so and so on notice thing" which I think is a riff on Bill O'Reilly. I have Republican friends who like it too. So there you go...

Both are 100% fab and I'm Canadian, so we have nothing like it here. I don't think it matters what political or religious stripe you don (or don't in my case) the show just DRIVES!!

The closest we get the Canadian Air Farce and it's a little stuffy, predictable, amateurish and cliche by comparison. One question is the audience real and if so where the hell are they? Did you see the one with Nader, he just grilled the crap out of him!

We do have History Bites however, and it's the best history / comedy / education show on the planet bar none!

I'd wager that if a Democrat wins the next presdiential election the Daily Show will continue on just as it has and the liberals will be screaming that it's the new FOX News.

Pinning the show as either liberal or conservative is reaching. It is comedy and entertainment with a basic anti-establishment theme. Stewart has plenty of fun poking at everyone.

Not hardly. I tend to lean conservative but find the program does have a good number of chortle producers.

I have once been labeled "right-leaning" and I try to watch the Daily Show every night. It is a fantastic show with biting humor and stewart is a fantastic host. The Colbert Report is also a great show.
