When I drove to the coast to the gallery at the end of my show I had to leave early and the dawn was gorgeous. I kept stopping in laybys to take photos Very Happy - it was even better than these show.

I don't like getting up and out at that time but dawn is lovely isn't it?

Please add your sky images to the thread?

of course it does!

it's lovely - moody and mysterious

by the way - I think your images are hosted with photobucket???? it took me ages to work out why my pictures always had IMG each side when I posted them (slow!) then I noticed that there were 2 bracketed IMG's each side of the URL of the image.

- you don't need to go through the IMG button at all - just paste the link into your text and it works and you don't get those IMG's each side.

Thanks Vivien, that's precisely what prompted me to take and post the shot
I'll give your suggestion re the IMG a try now: (The first shot is the moon rising on the evening of a total lunar eclipse followed by the eclipse in progress
(I see it worked...nicely done!..... Great tip, thanks!)

I wouldn't even know how to adjust the colors.
Thats how the sky looked, and the picture really doesn't do it justice.

The first one is a little blurry but IMO it adds to the surreal aspect.

Can anyone tell me why my "quote" and "Bold" do not work?

As some of you may know, I'm still working on resizing my photos, but these may still come out too big.

Do you use Firefox? This is screwing up my access to Italics, Bold, & Underline.

BTW, that's why a posting of a picture may have IMG on either side; it's simply the instruction. If you wanted to Underline something would show up on either side of the word.

I know there are white spots - they didn't show up on the original, but this enlargement presents them in all their glory. I'm still new at this.

I just can't seem to reduce the pix - I know other people have managed to copy and reduce one of my photos, but I can't seem to get the hang of it.

Help will be greatly appreciated!

I love sky pix! I have taken dozens of sunset pictures from my parents' deck on cape cod. I've shot cloudscapes in NM and from airplane windows.

I like sunset photos....

Tomkitten, this is the easiest way to reduce the size of pictures. Here's the download, scroll to the end, on the right side is the free download
"Image Resizer".
