I expect dozens of photos of my double chin, poor posture, odd clothing choices, lopsided smile. Sigh. Oh, well, you weren't expecting a model, were you?

That'd be Brooke, I'd bet.

Seeing as she will probably be the youngest of the women, I'd bet on that, too.

Let's face it, Osso. Some of us simply have the kind of beauty that a camera cannot hope to capture.

Ah, but she's got a bit of an older heart.

You don't have to be a model to be one of the "beautiful people," Jo. And you ARE one of those. I already know that without ever having met you. Things that are meaningful and truely what makes a person beautiful ..... you have. As I'm sure everyone here would agree. Tis true ....Tis true ...... Tis TRUE!!!

Actually, I'm banking on (or at least hoping) ..... that you all find something inside me too, that brings out my sparkle Cause I ain't too sure about the outside right now! Extreme lack of sleep since Friday. Burning the candle at both ends between work and trying to help my Dad get his corn in the ground. (along with my brother) I can't pull a 24 row planter, cause ........ well, I just am not that good. A 16 row and I'm fine. Otherwise when I try to make my turns, I'm way off the foam.

Anywho ...... Friday won't come fast enough for me!

PS- Eva ...... Very Happy well said!

You're a farm girl, Brooke? Wow! That just moved you a few rungs up my ladder.

Speaking for myself, I'm not interested in beauty per se -- I wanna see expressions, smiles, skeptical eyebrows, personalities.

Brothers don't plant easily, Johnny. They offer much more resistance than the common seed.

Born and raised a farm girl. And being I was a bit of a Daddy's girl (and still am) .... I would ride with him in the fields as early as I can remember. My Dad was raised on a farm along with his 17 siblings. Many of them grew up to be farmers, themselves. I think once it's in your blood - for the most part it stays.

LOL @ trying to plant my brother. Wouldn't be a bad idea sometimes. Cool

I am looking forward to hearing all about this weekend and seeing pix! I have class all weekend and I'm counting on some good diversions from Chicago.

You got it! I wish you were there too, though. I think most of us will have our cameras. Between all of us .....should be a ton of pictures to happily post!

Brooke, would you be kind enough to hoist a stick of butter in J_B's direction when you see her?

It's a little toast we share. She will understand.

J_B is a party animal. A relentless machine.

How does she do it?

Sounds like that might get me in trouble. How about I throw it and when she turns to see who did it ..... I smile innocently and point at Bill?

I gotta say, at least in the few get togethers I've been to and some I've read about, there is a general idea of - hey is it ok if I post these? - to participants.

Some people are fleeing attorneys and various other miscreants or are hoping to be wooed by some prince who hates warts...

Well, this was so in earlier a2k times. Don't know if it still is understood.
