One too many, heh, McT?
I think the correct nautical term is "uphill".Some gradients on the high seas can be really intimidating.

This is a feature of the seas around India, I have found. I have taken quite a few photos of the seascape off the south coast, and in each one it is the same- the horizon is sloping. That would seem to prove it.

McT, I found that same phenomemon when I travel around the world. When I come home with my photographs, I'm spending hours upon hours leveling my photos. So you can rest assured, it's not only in India; all the world is in a slope. Wink

Noted. In my defence, though, and with reference to that particular blurry photograph, do not assume that the ship is sailing parallell to the shore: in the spot where we were, at the narrows of the harbour entrance, the shipping had to sail round us in a curve, admittedly a wide curve. That navy vessel was doing that- it is turning.
(But I think the camera is a wee bit tilted too! Smile )

Gosh, I've just noticed something. If you refer to the table top, and assume that is level (which it was) and correct for that (a smidgen only is required, I think), then that correction would make the apparent attitude of the ship even MORE tilted! It was turning, all right.

"Left hand down a bit!"

I have just the same trouble with my local environment, especially on the way back from the pub. Damned annoying.

Whether Steve can remain vertical on that horizontal walk is the question. Wink
