Then if it IS the flu, it shouldn't be as bad as it would be without the shots. Lots of fluids and rest. What does the doctor prescribe?

And be sure to wash your hands every hour and not touch your face. We need your participation here.

The early bird catches the worm- but it's the second mouse which gets the cheese.

Is this your towel?

Serves the worm right for getting up so early.

The doctor prescribed ALBUTEROL. Don't know what it is, but it's a inhaler.

It's an anagram of A LOT BLUER - hope that isn't the result! Best wishes to both of you, and trust the medicine works well.

C.I., I looked up Albuterol. It is used to dilate air passages that have become constricted due to inflammation. Does your wife have asthma? Common side effects are nervousness, tremor, dizziness, headache and insomina. In the inhaled form, the only serious side effects are that it may become ineffective if used too often, resulting in more-severe breathing difficulty that does not improve (that doesn't seem to be a problem for your wife since she is only using it for this acute condition). Signs include persistent wheezing, coughing, or shortness of breath; confusion; bluish color to lips or fingernails; inability to speak.
I hope you're not a hypochroniac. This seems to be a safe drug. But to me all drugs are safe if they don't cause my balls to fall off.

JLN, I have 100 percent trust in our physician. My wife changed to my doctor when she lost hers some years ago.

My wife thinks she was infected at work, since she works with patients at Kaiser. I try to wash my hands often, and drink several glasses of orange juice every day. Haven't been sick for many, many, years.

I'm not a hypochondriac, and can take medicines without any adverse reactions.

Several glasses of orange juice a day and you're not overweight. Great.
