Windshield defroster fan

My old Mercedes needs a new electronic "panel" in order for the heater and air conditioner to work it costs $925 so I don't want to do it until Spring when the weather gets hot again.

In the meantime I have been trying (so far with no success) to locate a cigarette lighter socket powered fan that attaches to the windshield with a suction cup.

These little fans were commonplace years ago so I know they exist. I have tried all the places I can think of where they might be stocked but so far I have not had any luck.

Anyone know where I can locate one of these fans? Smile

Find yourself a bus junkyard. 12v fans are commonplace in those things.

Fans don't really do much without the hot air to help, so I might consider one of the little 12v heater fans. They plug in the cigarette lighter and blow hot air as an aux heater. They'll work much better on the windshield. Here's one for $17
