Actually for me there are two that I like to think guide me in all things:

your motto is probably the best Ive ever seen. other possible nominees...."red to red, black to black" "if it aint fixed, dont break it" "it worked just fine yesterday" "what could go wrong?" and of course, murphys law is still always in effect.
