I'm planning a trip to Turkey for about two weeks. Obviously, I'll spend several days in Istanbul, but what else do you recommend? Thanks in advance!

Give us an idea of what your plans are for Istanbul. If we think you missed something important, we could recommend it. Wink

Ah Turkey! Just now it's my favourite country! I spent 3 weeks there + Syria in September (my thread is called Travelling in Syria but we were more in Turkey). Cappadocia of course, and the Aegean coast; I really liked the island of Bozcaada in the north Aegean. How do you travel? What level of comfort? I really recommend hiring a car, it's such a huge country. Unfailingly polite and well ordered, I found this time (not so in 1972 when I was a young woman alone!).
Wonderful book called Small Hotels of Turkey which has pretty boutique hotels in it, not dirt cheap of course but affordable compared to, say, England.
PM me if you want any particular info.
