Don Adams died yesterday at age 82.

It was a fun show. Apparently, he was so type-cast that he never worked much again. But he made some good dough off that show!
I liked that show, He was a funny twist in the "hay" days of 007, Thanks ehbeth for reminding us that a life is lost, and reminding me how much I enjoyed his work...........
The old, repeat what LionTamer said last night trick... Just as I thought.
I was in the cone of silence and didn't hear you
Here there was a little tribute on one of our local radio stations the other morning when the news broke. A sort of roving radio reporter went out and asked people about their favourite parts of "Get Smart" and Don Adams as Max. It's a testament to the duration of the show and the fact that sometimes humour travels very well that everyone had a phrase from the show, phrases that can still be heard in conversation here. One fellow who was being interviewed by the radio roving reporter actually pulled his shoe off and began making a phone call.
Vale Don Adams - we'll miss him by ...........................................that much - and more.
goodfielder, my understanding is that he was an even bigger hit in Australia than in the States.
