Seen the film, and met some of the Pigrim family.

It's true what your reviewers say about assumptions being made by the director. That aside, the movie is worth a look, and I'd give it four stars. LOL

The west Kimberley, and its characters, are rather unique in Australia, with many "indigenous" people being of many mixed cultures, more so than Darwin.

Getting homesick, actually, for the Kimberley. Very proud independent people, and aside from the usual problems with drink and attitude, the most successfully multicultural region on our wide brown continent.

I'll make an effort to seek it out.
You'd probably know a lot more about the authenticity of the characters & their stories that M & D would, being so familiar with that part of Oz.
