How wearing motorcycle riding gear can save your skin

Had a crash today.

Here's the arm, melted right through the first layer(textile jacket)

Leg, can't see too close but pant is scuffed up, slightly worn through.

Didn't take a picture, but opposite elbow also very scuffed/damaged, and slight scuff on boot. Also thumb got a little banged(wearing gloves also).

Imagine what would have happened to just my skin if I was wearing a t-shirt?

I don't have to imagine. I've got some photos in my files at work Confused

Biking leathers are the best investment.

<good to see you weren't one of those t only goofs. this time>

Yea, and I bet it would have been worse if I actually crashed on the motorcycle!

The workers there were laughing at us(couple other guys). We rode up to Attitash, and figured "why not, let's go on wearing full gear).

It definitely gave me confidence though...first ride down, saw a huge banner that said "SLOW."

I pushed the stick foward harder(to speed up), and the sled didn't like that too much and kicked me off. I slid a good 40 feet.
