Historically, e.g. Sicilly has been a Muslim country from 827 onwards until the Norman expulsion in 1072.
Before that, from 952 onwards, Spain was a Muslim country - though in 1236 with just what is now the province of Granada left.

Between much higher birth rates, immigration and willingness to use force in any manifestations, Muslims will increase their share of population and form governing coalitions with liberal/socialist parties to expand power. They will successfully dupe these leftists by promising few - if any, illiberal or Shariah compliant policy positions. But this will be to just bide time and get the electorate “used” to Muslims in office, until they get enough votes to force their demands. Any pushback from opposition will be derided as “Islamophobic” and quashed.
