heya guys! (for those of you who care i know my screen name is very bad welsh - translates claira is wales - meant to be ironic sorta - meh)

anyhow...my question

Just started a course at one of the best colleges for performing arts - its specialising in acting (a BTEC ND if you know what that is) anyhow as the place is pretty prestigous and has a very, very good reputation they are eager to ensure that every one on the course is fully able to take the course - my first assingment (after being there for four days!!) Is to write three pages on what makes a good performer and what qualities an actor must posess in order to work well as a company. I have a few ideas of my own to put in such as commitment to the character, energised at all times, positive attitude, punctual and reliable, respectful to fellow players, never apologising for being onstage......but i need to know what i should put in in order to really grab their attention - im desperate to be the kid they are all really excited about in the staff room - so help me out pleaaasseeee you guys - you all seem like lovely people Very Happy

Claira
xsx

p.s. apologies for unfamiliar spellings - Im British

Hi Claira - welcome to a2k.

Your ideas are excellent ones. I might also add being open-minded/interested in new ideas, bringing some life experience to help the actor understand a role or a play, and something about good health or physical stamina, etc.

Let us know how it goes.
