Bestest Friend!

One day when I was very small
I went to play at school
And there I saw the fairest maid
This chick was really cool

She was dressed all up in pink
Her eyes looked almost teal
With long brown hair and everything
I wondered "is she real?"

Who was this little princess
Of whom I was in awe?
The teacher said that she was new
Her name was Bar ber ah

I wished that I could pick her up
And play like I'm her Ma
And she's my little baby girl
My little Bar ber ah!

I knew right then I had to be
The favorite of this queen
To be the friend that she liked best
So special did she seem

"Oh come and see my house," I said
"As soon as school time ends
And we can play with all my things
I'll be your bestest friend."

She did! She did! and soon we knew
We'd always be best friends
Those happy, sunny afternoons
We sang and played no end

One day I had been very good
Or so my mother claimed
She took me to the store so
I could get a toy or game

I saw the thing I wanted most
Of all the toys and stuff
A perfect doll and best of all
She looked like Bar ber ah!

When I got home I picked her up
And said, I am your Ma!
Then suddenly it came to me
I don't need Bar ber ah!
