@izzythepush,
Quote:Spices and herbs tend to vary depending on what I'm cooking,
1. Have you ever cooked or sauteed shrimp?
2. For me, I chop up some fresh onions.
3. I then put the chopped onions (with butter) into a microwave safe bowl.
4. I then put it in the microwave for maybe four to five minutes.
5. During that cooking time I will stop it every one to two minutes to stir it up.
6. I will then remove bowl from microwave.
7. I then will put into that hot bowl of butter and onions some raw shrimp and fresh squeeze (lemon juice).
8. Next, I stir all of those ingredients up in that bowl.
9. After that, I will choose to either bake the whole thing in the oven or to sauteed in a sauce-pan.
10. If I choose my saute method, I will dump everything out of that bowl into a hot saucepan heated on the stove.
11. Shortly afterwards while cooking, I will add in some garlic powder, salt, pepper, parsley flakes, and sometimes I might add in a tiny bit of red pepper flakes.
12. While everything is cooking, I frequently stir it up.
13. After it's done, it's ready to eat.
14. Through trial and error, I've discovered that butter becomes burnt very fast when sauteing
15. Through trial and error, I've discovered that using lemon juice not only adds lemon flavor, but it also keeps the butter from getting burnt longer.
16. Sometimes I take a similar cooking technique where I use olive oil and omit the lemon from the cooking process.
17. Sometimes, when using olive oil, I will omit the butter from the entire process.
18. Sometimes, I will wait until the food is plated and then add lemon juice.
19. I have modified and tweaked it in different ways.
20. When I cook in the oven, that's a different process altogether.
