@steve reid,
Death by idiot is the most likely cause. See how fast Trump went for the atomic bomb codes. Trump would have already nuked Iran leavening noting but glowing sand if he were not stopped. Put somebody like Trump in charge of Russia's nukes and they would blow the world apart. The dinosaurs could not stop the explosion that wiped them out, we can but won't. We elected that idiot who would start an atomic war if he could.

A singularity is a region of space-time in which matter is crushed so closely together that the gravitational laws explained by general relativity break down. In a singularity, the volume of space is zero and its density is infinite. Scientists believe such a singularity exists at the core of a black hole, which occurs when a super-massive sun reaches the end of its life and implodes.

General relativity also demands such a singularity must exist at the beginning of an expanding universe.

So, according to science, before this universe began to expand 13.8 billion years ago, there existed in the core of a monstrous Blach Hole, a singularity which had been created from all the matter that existed before the Big Bang, that had been swallowed into the mouth of a Black Hole which occurred when a super-massive sun that existed before the Big Bang reached the end of its life and imploded.

Interesting, don't ya think?

@The Anointed,
You are still looking for the pony and no doubt you are on an eternal quest to find the pony. You will see the pony behind every cosmic event, every atom, but the pony will always remain just out of sight.

If you had been born into a society that didn't believe in God, how long do you think it would take you to imagine one? The biggest factor in your lifelong quest for God was your indoctrination as a small child who lacked a rational brain. the second factor is wishful thinking you want it to be true like the little boy who keeps shoveling in his quest for a pony. He has no rational reason to believe there is a pony under the pile of s*it but he wants it to be true. Wishful thinking is done with the emotional mind, and logical thinking need not apply.

In response to Steve Reids Statement, "The fate of the universe has not been determined, the Big Crunch is but one of a few possibilities. Given that the universe’s expansion is accelerating, Heat Death is the more probable scenario"

YOU appear to believe that the heat death of the universe and the return to singularity are two separate events, whereas the scriptures reveal that they are one event, See 2 Peter 3: 10; But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that Day the heavens will disappear with a shrill noise, the heavenly bodies will burn up and be destroyed, and the earth with everything in it will vanish.

But from where did Peter get that information? Not from the Hebrew bible, nor from the Christian Old Testament, which is merely a copy of the Hebrew: No, Peter received that information from the Book of Enoch the prophet, which book was cherished by the early Christians, until it was banned in the fourth century by dogmatic authorities of the Roman church of Emperor Constantine, such as Jerome, Hilary and Augustine and finally passed out of circulation and was thought lost for millennia.

Today, the Book of Enoch remains one of the oldest extant mystical documents. It is referred to the Hebrew Zobar, the Epistle of Jude and is considered by many, a very early draft of ---or at least a critical influence on the New Testament. And Enoch speaks of the time he was escorted to the ends of the world, where he witnessed the heavenly bodies burn up and fall as massive columns of fire beyond all measure in height and depth into the Great Abyss (Black Hole) which he described as the prison of all the stars and the host of heaven, beyond which, there was nothing but a horrible waste.

The universal elements are torn to pieces atom by atom, subatomic particle by subatomic particle, and crushed back into the singularity of origin.

Science now has to discover what happens to all the information gathered in that cycle of universal activity that falls into a Black Hole? Although I believe that they have, Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like ‘A GREAT THOUGHT’ than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter. (R. C. Henry, “The Mental Universe”; Nature 436:29, 2005)

The information that is gathered with the previous universal body, is the memory by which the old body will be resurrected to continue on in the eternal process of Evolution.

@The Anointed,
Why is it that all the knowledge of savages who lived 2,000 years ago is disregarded it is only the mystical garbage that survived. If the savages had only a tiny fraction of the current world's knowledge now, how could they make anything but wild guesses about a future millions of years down the road? In the ancient world ignorance became enshrined as mystical knowledge. It was worshipped until it became discredited by facts. Only the predictions about a distant future survive because that future has not arrived.

My belief is that all Gods are ideas in the mind and the scriptures are myths and legend, as such I can't take into account the stories in the scriptures to explain how the universe works

There seem to be three possible endings that involve dark energy, Heat Death(Big Freeze), Big Crunch and Big Rip

1. Heat Death (Big Freeze) is still the dominant view in cosmology. It assumes dark energy is a positive constant force that keeps accelerating the universe's expansion forever. Black holes will evaporate via Hawking radiation
2. Big Crunch, if dark energy weakens or becomes negative over time, expansion slows, stops then reverses back to the Big Crunch, there is renewed interest in this scenario as recent data hints that dark energy may be dynamic
3. Big Rip, if dark energy becomes more positive over time, expansion accelerates so violently that it tears apart Galaxies, Stars, Planets, Atoms, and Spacetime itself

A different fate for the universe is Vacuum Decay

Then there is 'virgin' which is a translation from 'parthenos' which is a translation from 'young girl of marriageable age', even here it gets complicated, just when I thought I was making sense of it I found this

now I'm back to square one

It seems to me the only way to get a true interpretation of the scriptures is to bin the Christian OT and study the original Hebrew, else I'll spend most of my time trying to untangle translation errors

Yom (Hebrew: יום‎) is a Biblical Hebrew word which occurs in the Hebrew Bible. The word is a generic term meaning "a period of time". In both Modern and Biblical Hebrew it is usually translated as a specific period of time (such as "day", "evening", "lifetime", or "year"[2]) based on context.

The same can be applied to the English word (DAY). Although a ‘DAY’ can be defined as one of the many revolution of a planet around its central axis, which in relation to the earth is 365 revolutions in one year or one orbit of the sun. That is the period of time for a day on earth, but on every other planet in our Solar System, a day is a different period of time. WE also use the word (DAY) as in , “Back in the day of the Roman Empire” etc. Again, a period in time.

The six separate time periods = cosmic days of Creation are referred to in Genesis 2: 4; as the six separate generations of the universe. On the first cosmic day only light was created, the first massive generation hydrogen stars.

Our sun and planets in this Solar System, were created on the third cosmic creative day or the third generation of the universe and it was only then that the planetary revolution time periods = days were created. And you believe that the bible says that this universe was created in six literal 24 hour days.

Nowhere does the bible say that the universe was created in six separate period of 24 hours.

Jubilees 4: 30; And he (ADAM) lacked seventy years of one thousand years; for one thousand years are as one day in the testimony of the heavens and therefore was it written concerning the tree of knowledge: ’On the day that ye eat thereof ye shall die.’ For this reason, he did not complete the years of this day; for he died during it.
The definition of a day Is one revolution of a heavenly body. There is only one heavenly body in our vicinity that revolves once in every thousand years.

Now, in reference to your confusion between "Parthenos and virgin."

It amazes me how any intelligent person can be deceived into believing the false teaching of the so-called virgin birth of the man Jesus.
The Hebrew has a specific term for ‘Virgin’ and that word is ‘Bethulah,’ which word is used in the Old Testament whenever a woman, who has never had any sexual contact with a man, is being referred too, but Isaiah does not use the word ‘Bethulah’ in the famous passage ‘Isaiah 7: 14,’ instead he uses the Hebrew ‘almah’ which refers to any woman of marriageable age, irrelevant as to her sexual status.

The Greek language did not have a specific word for virgin. The Greek ‘Parthenos’ refers to any youth, male or female, of marriageable age, irrelevant as to their sexual status, and denotes ‘virgin’ only by implication.

The young 13 years old unmarried Mary, was a ‘Parthenos,’ a young unmarried woman, who told the Messenger of God that she had never had sexual contact with a man, thereby implying that she was still, at that point in time, a virgin.
When the Septuagint was translated from the Hebrew to Greek, hundreds of years before Jesus, the Hebrew translators were forced to use the Greek word ‘Parthenos’ when translating the Hebrew ‘almah’ to the Greek, and as Matthew’s gospel was originally written in Hebrew, when it was later translated to Greek, the same word ‘Parthenos’ was used to translate the Hebrew ‘almah.’

‘Parthenos,’ was often used in reference to non-virgins who had never been married. Homer uses it in reference to unmarried girls who were no longer virgins, and Homer was the standard textbook for learning Greek all throughout antiquity, so any writer of Greek, including the authors of the Septuagint and Matthew, who translated Isaiah’s words, that (An unmarried woman would be with child etc) while being well aware of this words versatile and indefinite meaning; were in no way implying that Mary was a virgin when they were forced to use the Greek term ‘Parthenos’ in translating Isiah 7: 14.

“The Greek word Parthenos (παρθένος) is ambiguous but the Hebrew term “Almah” [Unmarried Female] is absolute, and is erroneously translated from Isaiah 7: 14, to English in Matthew 1:23; as “virgin,” whereas according to Young’s Analytical Concordance to the Bible, the Hebrew term “almah,” carries the meaning, (Concealment---unmarried female.)”

Do you believe that the savages that were sacrificing people because they believed their imaginary God was in a bad mood were intellectuals? Do you believe that if we started scarifying people today that God would treat us better? These people that you tout lived in a period of cubic ignorance where human sacrifice was not only a good thing but required to keep God from slaughtering everyone. From the minds that gave us human sacrifice you hope to harvest from their BS great intelligence. The world's knowledge is one directional it progresses through time. There is a reason we don't sacrifice humans today we believe in God less. The fear God is what drove human sacrifice. People like cattle can be driven by fear.

I'd think it would be because the person being taught doesn't know the information they are being given is false, and given the intelligent person is expected to believe in Genesis 20 that God entered the mind of Abimelech in a dream (on whose word ?), and that Donkeys can talk, is it any wonder they struggle to know what to believe

Thanks for your explanations, but as I wrote the only way I could get to the truth of the meaning of the scriptures is to ignore all translations, learn Hebrew and take it from there, and at my rate of learning I'd have to live longer than Methuselah

Our Solar System, which revolve once every one thousand years is a physical heavenly body that was created 4.6 billion years ago, 9 billion years after the Big Bang and expansion of the singularity, which was the condensed remains of the fifth generation and previous universal body, which was swallowed into the great dark abyss with all the information gathered in that period of universal activity, which information was the great evolving ‘THOUGHT” (The memory) by which that body was resurrected to continue on in its eternal process of evolution.

The Great ‘THOUGHT’ that evolves on the information gained in each generation of the universe. Seeing as you still believe that this universe as it is today, which began its expansion as electromagnetic energy 13.6 billion years ago was created in six literal 24 hour earthly days, I would have to agree with you.

There are more conmen operating in the religious field than any other. It was only a few years ago that a member of the Mormon church was caught manufacturing old religious documents. He had found a way to age the documents to make them look like they came from another time period. There have been so many pieces of the cross sold it would fill a forest. The religious field is one of the most lucrative fields for conmen because the victims want to believe.

Whenever you find a religious document from the ancient past how would you know it was not counterfeit? You would not. The religious community has an agenda and would do anything to forward their agenda. You have gone further down the religious rabbit hole than most people.

The people you admire from the past would have absolutely no problem sacrificing you to God. Since you believe in God and these ancient writings God has been neglected all these years. We now know that God is upset because there is a war. Maybe 500 virgins would do the trick. The war will eventually end and the religious ignorant would claim that human scarifies did the trick. God and human scarifies were both launched from the ignorance of same time period. You can put lipstick on pig but in end it is still a pig.

@Zardoz,
A day consists of a period of Darkness and inactivity followed by an equal period of Light and activity, this is why according to ancient cultures on earth, their day began at sundown and consisted of 12 hours of darkness followed by 12 hours of daylight, ending as the sunset on that day.

“According to the Buddhists, we live in an eternal oscillating universe that expands outward and contracts back to its beginning in space time. A universe that exists in the two states of seemingly visible matter (Day) and invisible energy (Night).”

“Universe after universe is like an interminable succession of wheels forever coming into view, forever rolling onwards, disappearing and reappearing; forever passing from being too non-being, and again from non-being to being. In short, the constant revolving of the wheel of life in one eternal cycle, according to fixed and immutable laws, is perhaps after all, the sum and substance of the philosophy of Buddhism. And this eternal wheel has so to speak, six spokes representing six forms of existence.” ---- Mon. Williams, Buddhism, pp. 229, 122.

To the Hindu, the days and nights of Brahma are called Manvantara, or the cycle of manifestation, ‘The Great Day,’ which is a period of universal activity, that is preceded, and also followed by ‘Pralaya,’ a dark period, which to our finite minds would seem as an eternity, or but a moment in time.

‘Manvantara,’ is a creative day as seen in the six days of creation in Genesis, ‘Pralaya,’ is the evening that proceeds the next creative day. The six periods of Creation and the seventh day of rest are referred to in the book of Genesis 2: 4; as the “GENERATIONS OF THE UNIVERSE.”

The English word “Generation,” is translated from the Hebrew “toledoth,” which is used in the Old Testament in every instance as ‘births,’ or ‘descendants,’ such as “These are the generations of Adam,” or “these are the generations of Abraham, and in Genesis 2: 4; it is written concerning the six days of creation; “These are the generations of the universe, which is aligned with the six spokes on the Buddhists wheel of life, which represent six forms of existence. (Or six generations)

A series of worlds following one upon the other-- each world rising a step higher than the previous world, so that every later world brings to ripeness the seeds that were imbedded in the former, and itself then prepares the seed for the universe that will follow it. With each new generation, the previous generation is first resurrected to begin the eternal process of evolution, creating the next generation.

This body that you see It isn’t really me
It’s but the womb in which I’m being formed
For I am spirit, I am mind
And it’s the only place you’ll find
‘Who I Am’ until the day I’m finally born
For I will not be free, until this body that you see
Has returned to the dust from whence it came
It’s then that I’ll be born from this womb in which I’m formed
To carry on in life’s eternal game.

You need to pick one religion and decide the others are not valid. The religions cross pollinate and ideas and people migrate. You pick up and idea from one religion and then more fragments from other religions and hope to prove the first religion is somehow valid. You are absolutely desperate to prove the unprovable. It is like looking for a sci-fi religion oh that right there is a sci-fi religion called Scientology. I notice you don't quote anything from Scientology. There must be something in there you can use. At least that religion was created by people that were not a step or two from cavemen. Come to think of it God might be considered a space alien.

Poems are nice and it looks like you have found someone as desperate as you to believe in the supernatural. A soul if one ever existed could be found by modern technology a soul has never been located and can only be found in imagination land.

Which I have done. My religion is recorded in the heavens my friend.

So, according to science, the singularity from which this expanding universe originated, was all the elements from a previous world that had been swallowed into a Black Hole, plus all the information from that previous world, in other words the Memory of that world, or the great evolving THOUGHT which feeds on the information of every universal body that returns to the singularity of origin.

Our Solar System, which revolves on its axis once every one thousand years is a cosmic day, Our Solar System which orbits the central Black Hole which anchors the Milky Way galaxy in space, completes that orbit once every 230 million years, which is a cosmic year.

Quote:
I don't, I think you have deduced this from my misunderstanding of how you use 'days' to mean any lenght of time that suits your narrative.

A 'DAY' on each individual planet in this Solar System is of a different period of time. A day is the period of time it take for each planet to do one revolution on its axis, so when you use the word 'DAY' do you mean a day on Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Saturn, Uranius, Neptune, or Pluto, for no two are of the same period of time, Then we have cosmic days, and Solar System days.

“A day is the period of time a heavenly body takes to complete one revolution on its axis.”
A day = one axial rotation of a heavenly body.
And the statement: “A thousand years is as one day according to the testimony of the heavens”
refers to the axial rotation of the Solar System itself.

Not the Sun. Not the planets. Not the galaxy.
The Solar System as a whole.
The Solar System does rotate on an axis
This is the part most people don’t know.
The Solar System is not a flat, static disc. It is a rotating structure, with:
• the Sun
• the planets
• the Kuiper belt
• the Oort cloud
• the heliospheric current sheet
• the magnetic field
• the solar wind spiral
all participating in a single axial rotation.
This rotation is slow. Extremely slow.
And the period of one full axial rotation — the Solar System’s “day” — is on the order of a thousand years.

This is the testimony of the astronomical heavens.
Why the Solar System has a thousand year “day”
Because:
• the Sun’s magnetic field flips every ~11 years
• the heliospheric current sheet completes major cycles every ~22 years
• the outer heliosphere responds over centuries
• the Oort cloud responds over millennia
• the entire heliospheric structure rotates as a single body
• the full axial rotation of the heliosphere is measured in thousands of years
This is not a planetary orbit. This is not a barycentric wobble.
This is the rotation of the Solar System’s own axis, the axis of the heliosphere — the true “day” of the heavens.
And its period is approximately one thousand years.
That is the testimony of the heavens.

If at the start you had defined 'Heavenly body' as 'Our Solar System' and explained 'cosmic day/year' as you now have I wouldn't have been so confused

Our Solar System is a clear statement, it has one meaning. Heavenly body is ambiguous, I'm thinking what is he referring to ?, the Sun, Moon, Planet, Globular cluster, Quasar, Black hole, Galaxy, Orion the hunter, Bootes the herdsman, a Rainbow, ad infinitum

I didn't know this, I knew the Solar System orbits the Galaxy every 230 million years but never visualized it rotating as it went, but it makes sense, (another good day for me)

As I didn't know this I should think more about it before I reply, but I'm here and so my first thoughts are these

All points on a rotating bicycle wheel have the same angular velocity, the radial velocities of said points will mostly differ and depend on their distance from the axis of rotation

So whereas a bicycle wheels rotation can be measured as in say revolutions per second, how do you determine the Solar System revolves on its axis once every one thousand years, when the Solar System is comprised of a conglomerate of billions of objects orbiting the Sun at different angular and radial velocities. The axis around which they rotate is the Sun, but what or where is the base line or reference points you are using for your calculations

Looking at it another way, our Suns rotation is 24 days at the equator and 35 days at the poles (differential rotation), you can't have a single value measurement for the Suns rotation, the same is true of our Galaxy

@steve reid,
I don't think anybody on earth is referring to a day on Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Uranius, Neptune, or Pluto. If I had been planning a trip to one of those planets, I might want to find out the length of a day there. One thing we know for sure is that none of those planets have a day that is 60 million years long. Since we are on earth a day is 24 hours long.

If God is speaking to people on earth through the bible, he would use a day on earth not a day on Venus. You do backflips trying to avoid obvious. You act like Trump's press secretary trying to cover obvious lies by Trump. When Trump said he had the biggest crowd ever for his inauguration pictures showed he was wrong. Then the press secretary said Trump was including those who watched on television.

If God said he had created the universe in 360 million years no one would have been impressed but 6 days now that is accomplishment worthy of a real God. If the Christians found out God was lying about his major accomplishment, he would lose a major part of his followers even worse than what is going on now.

Once you depart the literal you enter imagination land where you can make up any interpretation and all are of equal validity of zero.

Leave the orange turd out of this, I don't believe The Anointed tells lies but sometimes do think he's deluded. Although I don't believe in God and think the scriptures are myth I am interested in science, and am fascinated how The Anointed melds science with the scriptures and what he comes up with.

A question for The Anointed, what is the diameter of the Solar System
