@hightor,
The odds to win the lottery are in the millions but usually somebody wins. Prophecies work on the same principal many people can make a prophecy the ones that were wrong are quickly forgotten. Gambler prophecy that their bet will come true and sometimes they do.

A psychic name Jean Dixon predicted in 1956 in Parade Magazine "that in the 1960 presidential election it would be dominated by labor and won by a democrat who would go on to be assassinated or die in office." But at last minute she decided Nixon looked like the winner. She also predicted the events of 9/11. It seems like the power to predict the future are not unique to biblical figures. That means the power to predict the future does not come from God.

The divine right of Kings specified that only God could appoint a king. The vast majority of the western world subscribed to this theory for hundreds of years. Now the Christan right is now reviving this theory by believing that Trump was appointed by God to be president. The Christan right believes that American president being elected by mere men is in violation of their religious belief. That it is a giant middle finger in the face of their God. Now that they believe Trump was appointed by God to be president it is a short step from God appointing Trump King of America and making his family the American royal family.

Trump did not want to leave office after his first term and staged an insurrection. People were quite willing to fight and die to keep Trump in office. Trump has already told the Christian right that they need not ever worry about another election. That could be interrupted as Trump will call off any future presidential election. The Christian right preachers could declare that God has told them that Trump is King of America and cancel future elections.

The Christian right has been infiltrating every level of our government for 80 years. You have to remember these people are true believers, they are zealots. They believe that God is real and whatever the preachers tell them is God's will they will believe it. The last insurrection failed because it was unorganized the next will be better organized because it is led by true believers.

The saying about computers is garbage in, garbage out. That applies to people also. Those people who would replace our constitution with "God's law" having been mainlining garbage all their lives. Imagine what a computer that had been fed garbage the entire time it had been in service. Its output would be useless. Now those people that have been mainlining garbage are planning to use the government to gain dominion over you. First rule will be church on Sunday is mandatory and you will contribute 10% of your income. Think it can't happen here? Other countries have been plunged into darkness of ignorance by a small minority of zealots.

In America we are all free to believe what we want at least in theory. In practice religious cults want to mandate you to believe what they believe. Right now, they want it to be mandatory for your children to pray to their God everyday they attend school. Think it can't happen. It was standard operating procedure when I went to school. It took a major effort to get mandatory prayer out of our schools. You didn't pray to different God each day, you prayed to one God of their choosing. When the court cases started, they decided that they would no longer make every student pray to their God you could sit silently by and listen to the others pray. It was a way to socially isolate students who refused to pray to their God. The mandatory prayer to their God was shot down by the supreme court and the Christian Right is still trying to use the government to make school children pray to their God.

That brings up the question why do the Christian religious cults believe that they should be able to use the power of government to force others into their religious cults. Why can't they just believe what they want and let others believe what they chose? They are insecure in their own beliefs and if they can get others to believe the nonsense it affirms their beliefs.

@Zardoz,
God is the giver of free will, men do not give it, in reality they remove it. But God has requirements and some things are unacceptable. Yet one can choose to do those things because God gave them free will.

@kjw47,
Since God does not exist how can he give you anything? The requirement to be part of reality is that you can see it, touch it, smell it if you can't it is part of imagination land. Reality has definite boundaries, but imagination land has none. This is why there have been hundreds of thousands of Gods in the past and a hundred thousand more in the future. Your God would remove any and all free will not only from cult members but from everyone and use the power of government to do it. When I was forced to pray to your God in school in a government building it was not my free will. I was being forced to pray to your fantasy of a God.

Do you accept that the most popular theory we have today as to the creation of this universe, is the Big Bang theory, which begins with an infinitely dense, infinitely hot, infinitesimally small ‘SINGULARITY’ which was spatially separated and spewed out of a White Hole, as an extremely hot liquid like plasma of electromagnetic energy in the trillions upon trillions of degrees, in fact our scientists claim that the universal temperature at the instant of the Big Bang, was 100 million trillion, trillion kelvins, or 180 million trillion, trillion degrees Fahrenheit.

A singularity is a region of space-time in which matter is crushed so closely together that the gravitational laws explained by general relativity break down. In a singularity, the volume of space is zero and its density is infinite. Scientists believe such a singularity exists at the core of a black hole, which occurs when a super-massive sun reaches the end of its life and implodes.

General relativity also demands such a singularity must exist at the beginning of an expanding universe.

So, can I now take you back to a time before the first Big Bang, to a place where you can see nothing, smell nothing, taste or touch nothing, because nothing yet exists, except for the singularity of Origin, which no one can see, for as yet there are no observers.

@The Anointed,
I am more concerned with the here and now. Scientist will always postulate theories and theories will gain favor and lose favor as more information comes to light. We can't change the past only the present and future. The scientists can speculate the temperature was a few trillion degrees take a few billion or add a few billion degrees, but it won't change the fact that a good portion of the World's population lives in imagination land. We live in a time where ignorance is revered and rational thought ignored. In America ignorance is reaching critical mass not in numbers but by radical minorities who have infiltrated all levels of our government. They seek to use the power of government to gain dominion over the rest of us and dominion is their word. They have a burning desire to control us of course they are just saving your eternal soul.

Yes you have free will to choose this-Deuteronomy 30:19= life or death both will be eternal. Actions=98%, lip service 2%. You have chosen wrong.

But the here and now wasn't here yesterday and nor will it be here tomorrow. If you begin with nothing you will always have nothing, or do you believe that something can come from nothing?

But if you believe, the here and now has eternally been here and now with the evidence of constant change all around you, then you are living in GA-GA Land, the only constant that you will find in this world, is the constant changing of the singularity from which all things are created, by which all things are created and for which all things exist.

There is only ONE my friend, "THE SINGULARITY" The essential divine reality of the universe, the eternal spirit from which all being originates and to which all being returns at the close of each period of universal activity.

Of course, you mean God who appeared out of nothing. Some scientists actually believe that we don't understand time. That time is liking moving through a room. That the past and future still exist it is us that move through the room. The room would continue to exist as you move into the next room that would be the future.

Electrical charges can be both positive and negative. Bring them together and they cancel each other out leaving nothing. Since you started with two charges and ended with nothing there should be a way to reverse the process.

You jump to the supernatural very quickly. You are like ancient man witnessing a volcano and being sure god is angry with him. It is a simple process and attaching the supernatural to simple process has been practiced by man throughout time. Your singularity is no more divine than the volcano. Do you believe your singularity is a personal God that directs the universe? It has no more intention than explosion.

Four billion years ago, what you are today was a slimy critter slithering around a hot thermal vent in the depths of the primordial ocean of the earth. Whatever is has always existed in one form or another. You are a part of what the eternal has become.

440 BC - Democritus and Leucippus suggested the idea of the atom, an indivisible particle that all matter is made of. To the ancient Greeks the word atom meant indivisible. It was used to describe the smallest indivisible piece of a matter. Atom was derived from the Greek word atomon or atomos meaning indestructible.

In the days of Paul, it was believed by faith alone, that all visible matter in the universe was built by the gathering together of smaller and invisible particles. Today we know this to be a fact, Matter is but the gathering together of invisible molecules, created by the gathering together of invisible atoms, which themselves are created from the gathering of invisible sub-atomic particles that are formed from Photons or wave particles, which are not particles at all, although generally regarded as discrete stable elementary particles, having zero mass, no electric charge, yet carrying angular and linear momentum. . . . . . . . . From the seemingly nothingness was the world created.

In fact, it has now been revealed that matter is no more than an illusion. Quantum physicists discovered that so called physical atoms are made up of vortices of energy that are constantly spinning and vibrating, each one radiating its own unique energy signature.

If you observe the composition of an atom with a microscope you would see a small, invisible tornado-like vortex, with a number of infinitely small energy vortices called quarks and photons. These are what make up the structure of the atom. As you focused in closer and closer on the structure of the atom, you would see nothing, you would observe a physical void. The atom has no physical structure, we have no physical structure, physical things really don’t have any physical structure! Atoms are made out of invisible energy, not tangible matter.

The first law of thermodynamics is the same as the first law of conservation and that is, that energy can neither be created or destroyed. If energy cannot be created, then it always was, and If it can never be destroyed, it always will be. Therefore, according to this law, energy must be eternal, having neither beginning or end.

Energy can be and is converted to that which we perceive as matter. In fact, this apparent material universe at the time of the Big Bang, was, according to the most popular theory of the creation of this universe, pure electromagnetic energy, which, In my Opinion, was spewed out of a WHITE HOLE, in the trillions upon trillions of degrees, or, according to scientific measurements (180 million trillion, trillion degrees Fahrenheit), which electromagnetic energy has been converted to that which we perceive as matter, only to be reconverted to its original form as electromagnetic energy during the phase of the Big Crunch, when all will be ripped apart atom by atom, subatomic particle by subatomic particle, and fall as fire into the Great Abyss, or Black Hole that is connected to a White Hole at the end of an Einstein Rosen bridge that connects the two.

Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like ‘A GREAT THOUGHT’ than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter. (R. C. Henry, “The Mental Universe”; Nature 436:29, 2005)

This would appear to compliment Paul’s statement in Romans 1: 18-23; that the eternal, who has neither beginning or end, had made himself manifest as this visible cosmos, and all that can be known about the eternal has been made plain to us in the creation itself, which is the eternal invisible MIND, ‘The GREAT THOUGHT’ made visible as it has evolved today.

And that which we call God, through whom all things were created, by whom all things were created and for whom all things were created, the God, who is one, the great singularity in who all things exist, is the same today as it was yesterday and will be into all eternity. It is the eternal constant, in that it has been constantly evolving, and will continue to evolve from everlasting to everlasting. The only mind that can cease to evolve, is the mind that has ceased to exist.

This suggests that God cannot create or destroy energy, if so then he is not omnipotent, else energy could have a beginning, could have an end and not be eternal

@The Anointed,
The atom bomb sort of blew that theory out of the water. A guess here a guess there does on occasion make a hit it does not make you Nostradamus.

The idea that structures are made up of smaller parts was obvious to anyone even in ancient times to believe idea can be reduced even further. People will continue to speculate.

So now you are saying Democritus and Leucippus got it wrong after all got in wrong matter is only illusion. Your proof is falling apart. Which is it atoms exist or are they are an illusion?

Since we have no physical structure and a wall has no physical structure you should be able to walk through the wall. You can try that and let me know how it works out. Make sure you are on a ground floor the fall might injury you.

Energy may not be created or destroyed but it can change forms.

From the beginning of time people longed to see the supernatural in everything. It is somewhat disappointing to look around and say is that all they are is. The supernatural is simply wishful thinking fiction. You can try to bury resurrect it with mountain of BS but the end you are no better than a caveman worshiping the sun.

I suspect that you were indoctrinated almost from birth. The thought that God does not exist never even occured to you. Now that you have been a good and faithful cult member all your life you are looking forward to your reward, eternal life. All of a sudden doubt begins to creep in and you are desperate to prove it was not a con. You know that a cow could jump over the moon if it only had a spaceship. I have seen the expresion on the face of con victims after you tell them that they have been conned. Their $10,000 is gone and the conmen made it back across state lines and the state will not extradite on a misdamenor. You have that expression.

Your posts show you are caapable of rational thought but the cult teachings are also evident. It is like cult members operate with two different computer programs that can and do operate independently. Cult members can and do keep them separate but when the rational mind begins to bleed into cult teachings, they start to experience cognativee dissonance. Their first reaction is to start defending their cult beliefs and they see God in every corner of the universe. Eventually their rational mind does enough damage to their cult beliefs that leaves them riddled with holes.

Unlike yourself, who believe only in the “HERE AND NOW” I believe that what I am, could not exist unless it was, “WHAT I ONCE WAS.”

I picked up a fossil and Lord, “WHAT A BUZZ” to think, in my hand was “WHO I ONCE WAS.”
HUMANS developed within the bodies of our land animal ancestors, which developed within our aquatic ancestors, etc. What ‘I AM’ today has never ceased to exist, I, who am developing within this human body “AM becoming a “Son of Man” a new non-physical species, that develops within mankind, just as mankind developed within our animal ancestors.

This body that you see It isn’t really me
It’s but the womb in which I’m being formed
For I am spirit, I am mind
And it’s the only place you’ll find
‘Who I Am’ until the day I’m finally born
For I will not be free, until this body that you see
Has returned to the dust from whence it came
It’s then that I’ll be born from this womb in which I’m formed
To carry on in life’s eternal game.

If you believe the mind that is you, dies with the body in which it develops then it will.

What is the reward that the mind receives?
Surely it is --- what that mind believes
So the mind that rejects eternity
When freed from its body, where will it be?

What is that body that gave to you birth?
Is it nothing but elements taken from earth?
Or was it created from the spirits and souls
Of your ancestors who --- are from times that are old?

Believe as you will, but remember this verse,
When your coffin is placed in the back of the hearse;
The reward that the mind must surely receive
Is that which the mind (Not in the hearse) believes.

I am who I am, may I never lose sight
Of the fact that I am ‘who I am’ day and night
I’m not who I was nor who I will be
For ‘WHO I AM’ is the name my God gave to me.

Catch ya later mate, when you get rid of that black hole in your erroneous belief. You had a beginning and that beginning has become what you are today, and what you could be tomorrow.

“According to the ancient Buddhistss, we live in an eternal oscillating universe that expands outward and contracts back to its beginning in space time. A universe that exists in the two states of seemingly visible matter and invisible energy.”

“Universe after universe is like an interminable succession of wheels forever coming into view, forever rolling onwards, disappearing and reappearing; forever passing from being too non-being, and again from non-being to being. In short, the constant revolving of the wheel of life in one eternal cycle, according to fixed and immutable laws, is perhaps after all, the sum and substance of the philosophy of Buddhism. And this eternal wheel has so to speak, six spokes representing six forms of existence.” ---- Mon. Williams, Buddhism, pp. 229, 122.

Very similar to the ancient Hebrew belief, which states that it took six creative periods for the entire universe to be created, or as stated in Genesis 2: 4; Six generations of the universe: six separate periods of universal activity and light, followed by six periods of darkness, which lasted for the same duration as the periods of activity and light.

This aligns with the six spokes on the Buddhists eternal wheel of life, which represent six separate forms of existence or six different generations of the universe. In many ancient cultures such as the Hebrews, their day began with a 12 hour period of darkness and rest, followed by an equal period of light and activity before the light vanished and a new period began with darkness. The universal day begins with the Big Crunch, followed by the Big Bang

The days and nights of Brahma are called Manvantara, or the cycle of manifestation, ‘The Great Day,’ which is a period of universal activity, that is preceded, and also followed by ‘Pralaya,’ a dark period, which to our finite minds would seem as an eternity, or but a moment in time.
‘Manvantara,’ is a creative day as seen in the six days of creation in Genesis, ‘Pralaya,’ is the evening that proceeds the next creative day. The six periods of Creation and the seventh day of rest are referred to in the book of Genesis 2: 4; as the “GENERATIONS OF THE UNIVERSE.”

The English word “Generation,” is translated from the Hebrew “toledoth,” which is used in the Old Testament in every instance as ‘births,’ or ‘descendants,’ such as “These are the generations of Adam,” or “these are the generations of Abraham, and Genesis 2: 4; it is written concerning the six days of creation; “These are the generations of the universe, which is aligned with the six spokes on the wheel of life which represent six forms of existence.

A series of worlds following one upon the other-- each world rising a step higher than the previous world, so that every later world brings to ripeness the seeds that were imbedded in the former, and itself then prepares the seed for the universe that will follow it. With each new generation, the previous generation is first resurrected to begin the eternal process of evolution, Creating the next generation.

When, at the end of each period of universal activity, all the material which has not been swallowed by the ever growing devouring Black holes, is orbiting the last devouring Cosmic Giant. It too will be swallowed and torn to pieces molecule by molecule, atom by atom, sub-atomic particle by sub-atomic particle until all that remains is the photons or wave particles that the universe was created from and at the bottom of the tornado-like worm-hole within the BLACK ABYSS, those wave-particles will be crushed back into the singularity from which it originated and all the information gathered in that Cosmic cycle will go with it. This is the memory of that cycle and the great evolving “THOUGHT” from which that universal body will be resurrected, from which the next generation will evolve, from which information of which information, the “Great thought will continue to evolve.

(R. C. @The Anointed,
People have a rational mind and an emotional mind. The rational mind makes it possible to navigate the real world. The emotional mind is not tethered to reality and is free to create god's and demons. The emotional mind is like a drug each time you down the rabbit hole you want to go deeper until you can no longer separate fiction from reality. Pretty soon you not only believe in God you believe you are God. You are everything that is the fossil and future beings. You have gone further down the rabbit hole then most wisemen would. I must caution you it is a one-way trip.

@The Anointed,
When I was in my twenties I took several years looking at all things supernatural from near death experiences to abduction by space aliens and everything in between. Some of the occult ideas like reincarnation are seductive, your greatest enemy, death, can be defeat by believing in a religious cult. After looking at the evidence for the existence of occult goings on the only evidence was antidotal. Wishful thinking is the main ingredient of the supernatural. I still have not deleted that section of my library, but when I need the space, it will be the next too.

It is easy to get lost in a labyrinth of different religious cults and pick a fragment here and a fragment there, but when you try to assemble them into coherent whole all you have is fragments. You can continue to look under every rock for God, and you can delude yourself that you found him, but you are only fooling yourself.
