Why do they copy these things from us?

I am a proud 17-year old female student of a private highschool here in the USA. Both of my parents are rich British immigrants from the UK and my parents became even richer after moving to the USA.

In my private highschool, everyone gets along and we are all diligent mature students who take academics and sports seriously. We are all very good when it comes to academics and sports. Our private highschool is one of the best highschools in the USA and most of the graduates from this private highschool go to college and become great professionals.

This is because our private highschool values discipline, excellence, and respect.

Our private highschool was founded by a British man here in the USA during 1974 AD.

I have many friends in my private highschool and they both include males and females. Most people here admire me.

I am the class president of my class and I am an honor student. I am also the captain of the school’s gymnastics team. I am the best in gymnastics at this school.

I love my parents, my siblings, my cousins, and my friends very much.

Violence, littering, insults, doing drugs, drinking, character assassinations, vandalism, crime, abuse, and all forms of malicious acts are not tolerated by our private highschool and the punishment for those evil acts is being expelled from the school.

All of the students in this school also value individuality and can think and act for themselves.

Our private highschool's student uniforms are beautiful. The female student uniform of our private highschool consists of a long-sleeved buttoned pure-white blouse shirt, a blue blazer, a tartan necktie, long high pure-white socks, black flat shoes, and a small tartan pleated skirt. It's very cute and I love it.

One last thing is that I absolutely despise American public highschools and American public middle schools. Most of the students there are dumb idiots who never amount to anything after highschool while most of the teachers there are worthless lazy incompetent fucks who are bad at teaching and do not discipline their students. I wouldn't even consider American public highschool kids and American public middle-school kids as students. They're literally no different from uneducated street kids. They suck at academics, sports, and other talents and absolutely have no discipline. They're also lazy and have bad fashion taste.

American public highschools and American public middle-schools are trash. Thank God I never went to any of them. Most of the graduates there don't go to college and become nothing but menial workers and burger-flippers who never contribute to society. What a bunch of ******* losers! HAHAHA!

Another thing I hate about American public highschools and American public middle-schools is that they have no student uniforms which allows their students to show the world how bad their fashion tastes are. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! And if American public highschools and American middle-schools have student uniforms, they are ugly as ****! Ew!

American public highschool kids and American public middle-school kids are also evil creatures who have no respect for grown-ups and authority and love to sociopathically hurt others while their teachers are basically pathetic enablers.

American public highschool students and American middle-school students are also highly violent and are drug addicts. I want nothing to do with them.

Anyways, below are some of the most impressive girl student skirts of various private highschools:

@16Agter88,
Anyways, the main point of my post is this:

How come American public schools (highschool and middle-school) and their sports teams are starting to copy the tartan patterns and the pleated skirts of us private highschool girl students? It’s cultural appropriation to us. They should go back to their ugly outfits.

Plus, private highschool girl tartan patterns are feminine. This makes the sports teams of American public highschools and American public middle-schools look feminine if they try to copy and culturally appropriate our tartan patterns from us private highschool girls. Are they gay? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

@16Agter88,
Your wonderful private high school obviously didn't teach you how to re-size images so they actually fit on the page.

@16Agter88,
And you're talking out of your backside.

Tartan is associated with Highland clans.

Unless you are of the clan it's cultural appropriation.

The only difference is the Stuart tartan which can be worn by all Britons as the Stuarts were kings and queens.

The kilt is not remotely feminine, hence the term "devils in skirts" to describe highland soldiers.

I personally can wear the MacGregor tartan as well, but that's it.

And if your femininity is so fragile that it's threated by some bloke in a tartan tie you have real problems.

You are the one culturally appropriating stuff.

And people don't emigrate from Britain, which is a political, not a nationalistic union.

They emigrate from either England, Scotland or Wales, and nobody has a "British" accent either.

I'm not British, I'm English.

I'll let Scotland speak for me. Direct from Scotland's capital from a bunch of blokes all entitled to wear the tartan.

Note, this is the culture you are appropriating.

@16Agter88,
What izzy says.

Tartans ARE recognised as representing a specific clan from each geographic area in Scotland.

The Scottish verb "kilt" means 'to tuck up the clothes around the body'.

Calling others 'copiers' but yourself wearing something copied without having the faintest clue about the origin and meaning of the garment ... not only snobbish but also uneducated.

Edit: I just found out that tartans were originally introduced as school uniforms by Catholic schools: vestimentum non facit monachum!

@16Agter88,
Have you two met?
https://able2know.org/topic/587822-1
Maybe you should date.

Have you only recent started communicating with humans here on Planet Earth? Because your stilted Mary Sue nonsense makes very little sense. And hey, did you know that private highschool girl skirt isn't idiomatic in English? And that midi-length shapeless tartan skirts are ubiquitous in private education? And that private education has no claim on them and no ownership? Did you also know that you utterly misused the term cultural appropriation? Did you know that middle school isn't hyphenated? Did you know that high school is two words, not one? Did you know that referring to feminine things as 'gay' and referring to girls and women as females outs you as an incel?

Oh, and did you know that your identical topic on the College Confidential forums was deleted?

Love,

A proud public school graduate with a BA, MS, and a JD

Have a nice day

@jespah,
To be honest I really don't give a monkey's about people misappropriating tartan, (and I must admit it's refreshing to talk about tartan and not plaid,) but I do get pissed off with snotty overpriviledged brats banging on about cultural appropriation.

Consider how much unnecessary work you're leaning into wildly overgeneralizing about millions of public-school students.

You must be an elitist psychopath given the wildly tonal whiplash of the thread. Or worse. You're a conservative troll who is in his 50s (or older) who is trying to catfish everyone here by gaslighting the forum into thinking you're a private school teenage girl.

Good. I'm glad I'm not the only one who suspects the OP of this.

Is the name of your school Hogwarts? You're not in the Slitherin house, are you. At first, you came across as a Hermione, but now you sound like a female Draco.
