Octane boost

Question I have a question, I have a 2003 wolfsberg which consumes high octane fuel. It just hit $1.30 a litre. I was told that you could use the lower grade gas if you added an octane boost.
Is this true? and is it as good or is it the same as a premium high octane gas?

I think your car is Turbo charged right? If not, unless it has a high compression ratio you don't need high test.

Read the fine print on the can. Normally the front says Raises Octane 10 points... But really it only raises it a fraction of a point.

This being said. I have used NOS Racing formula on a Nitrous injected engine running low grade without any problems however I paid close attention to detonation.

In general, the amount of aftermarket "octane" booster you need to add outweighs the cost of high-octane fuel. Ocatane boosters are not a substitute for the real thing.
