I have a question, I am wondering if I am just a prude or if others agree this is very distasteful.
Recently an organization in my town (a Family sports Facility) were raising money by having a golf scramble. This scramble was being held in a public city park. While this was going on the people who were running it had girls that worked the holes wear bikinis and if you gave them money they would strip for them. At one hole the lady spread her legs around a hole while a guy was shooting into it. I find this to be very trashy and distasteful, I sit on many boards one being the YMCA and if we had stuff like that go on we would be crucified. I can not believe the golf pro would allow this along with the Mayor of the City and above all the board members of this facility. If they continue this type of action I feel, 1. most wives will not want their husbands going and 2. if the Media gets a hold of this (which I hope they do) the board along with others will be sorry. Maybe I am just over reacting and believe me I am a fun person I do very much like going and having a good time, but I believe there is a time and place for everything and to make a community family organization fundraiser out to be a trashy event I just do not think this is the right place for it. Believe it or not I have spoken with several men who do not agree with this type of behavior and are glad they didn't play in it. WHat do you think?
Did you see this happen? Because stripping in public is illegal. And I seriously doubt that a golf course would risk losing everything over a scramble.
I think that the scramble was in very poor taste. I think that the organizers of the event should have thought about the diverse sensibilities of the participants, and not brought in strippers.
I would have no problem with strippers at a private party, where people know what they will be seeing. But in public, outside.........yeech!
I was not there my self but a friend of mine who heard this went on, went out there and her boyfriend was by the one spreading her legs and her boyfriend had a womens boobs in his face. So yes I am absolutley sure it goes on, also several men I know who have golfed in it in the past admitted to me it goes on.
The reason I ask if you were there is because sometimes, people embellish stories. Like, say there were girls in bikinis there. So what? Nothing, IMO, wrong with adult men being around women in bikinis. All they were doing is serving beer and perhaps, flirting. But some angry wife finds out these girls were there and makes a big tadoo about it saying they were stripping on the course. When all they were doing is being.
I just know that most golf courses enforce dress code with golfers so having a tasteless event like this seems unlikely.
If it did happen, my suggestion is to let them know how you feel.

So, if this continually goes on every year, why hasn't someone sued? Indecent exposure?
I am just guessing but my first guess would be that the people who organized this event and participated in it were/are the very social foundation of the community (bankers/lawyers/etc)
Curious...where is this course?
It did for sure happen, because of my friend going off on her boyfriend in front of everyone about it, the word is out and many men have admitted to paying these women to strip for them.
Distasteful is an understatement. Like bella dea, stripping in public is against the law. The scramble was held in a public park. A 'family' sports facility sponsored the scramble.
If it had been on private land and advertised as a private event, there would probably be no one complaining.
I wonder how long the family sports center will be in business?
dyslexia, the people that organized it have a great deal of money in this town. They are not doctor's, bankers or lawyers but it is a very expensive golf outing it cost 300.00 per person just to play in it. They are very wealthy and it seems because of their money they feel they are above the law. I have a daughter who golf on the high school team and I am so glad she did not go out there that day to hit balls.
is this cash only? the lady diane only lets me have the credit card.
Bella, the course is in Indiana at a place called Hulman Links. I do not know why someone has not filed anything, I knew nothing about it until this year and that is because my friend went out there. It will be interesting to know what will happen now since people are finding out.
I keep wondering how they could get away with it if it is on a pulic course?
Hmmm, wonder what Dys would have done with a credit card????
here is the info for the person to contact. Trfirst, if you are so upset by this (which you should be) do something about it. Write a letter. Tell them that this won't be stood for in YOUR community.

Swiped it between two supple butt cheeks?
I am trying to find out why they have gotten away with it. I am going to try and put an end to it myself
I wonder what "par" for that hole was?
I don't know exactly what the laws are there, but I know that in New York, women can be topless in public. Not many do it, but it is legal.
I have several things to say on this topic...
...but I think my best bet is to simply keep 'em all to myself.
So there!!!!
