I couldn't find any notice about this painting, neither with your English nor a (any possible I could think of) German title.

You should get some info, I think, from the Max Ernst Museum. (Although it doesn't open before September, someone certainly will respond to your email.)

The painting has a gold/green background up top with splashes of orange and yellow. (The night stars maybe?) The bottom is painted blue. The middle has a brown wave across it. It is not an actual wave but that is the only way I can describe it. There is a bright, almost glowing, red center in the middle of the brown. There are black lines that run randomly through the painting. They look like they may possibly have been done with charcoal. It is abstract.
